Vera Drake is all indie. That's a Mike Leigh flick. Being Julia was quite the rarity, that was fabulous.

Ray did nothing for me. Collateral was good, I thought. Couldn't pay me to see Phantom, unfortunately.

The book was GREAT - the movie was a pale representation, but Moore was GREAT in it as was Hopkins and most of the others

Eileen Heckart will always be one of my faves simply based on that performance alone. LOVE her in that movie. And I kinda dug how they changed the ending from the original play.

Well, I thought the book sucked major ass (ESPECIALLY the dinner scene and the ending, it came out of left ****ing field and I loathed it), but they missed the boat by deleting the bodybuilder sister. What a fudge up.

NO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!

That is one of my all-time favorite movies. My tape is literally worn out, the colors are so muted at this point that it's almost black and white. I am so in love with that one. Put it on DVD, for cripes sake! That scene where Peter Falk faints and Marlo Thomas gives him a Shirley Maclaine book? Priceless.

I love that line. Of course, I love everything about MM. All About Eve is awesome.

I love the Misfits, too.

Sweet Charlotte is great. I Love Whatever Happened to Baby Jane too. Talk about the cinema's finest campy bitchfest.

Did you know that for the scene where Davis had to drag Crawford across the floor, Crawford put weights in her dress out of spite?

And Davis retaliated by showing up on the set and yelling "Who do I have to f*ck to get a Coke around here?" every morning after Joan forced them to install Pepsi machines.

not to mention Davis really KICKED her in the kicking scene.

THEN - Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte was supposed to be the reprise - but Crawford pussed out

There's a reason Davis was known as "The Fifth Warner Brother."

Also on the list:

Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte - WHAT do you think I invited you here for - COMPANY?" - "You're a mean vile sorry little bitch!"

The Breakfast Club - Ringwold dancing in that one does it for me everytime

The Silence of the Lambs and, though not as much - Hannible - It puts the lotion on its skin
Oh, Marilyn was good, no doubt. But her and Bette didn't "mix" too much in the film, so it's hard to compare.
I *love* Hush Hush!!! love the song, too. Love Olivia DeHavilland. Love BC, Love Silence...love indie movies, though, too.
