When I think of the time I spent poring over that damn microfilm machine....wasn't that what they were called?-- trying to locate articles etc....It could take HOURS !!! Also borrowing from the library's stash of old magazines, and you had to fill out a little slip of paper for each one, and then pray that they had the magazine, and that the one article you wanted to read was not torn out, and that the copy machine was working that day as you were not allowed to borrow the older materials!! such stress.

Only our microfilm/fiche machine was OLD, and all the pages came out basically black. The funniest was the Rolling Stone concert review, "Fleetwood Mac Clicks Despite Nicks" that had the picture of her in the macrame/feather headdress (from TWH & RAL promo posters). The page was so dark, I couldn't tell what the f*ck was on her head -- it looked like a bunch of snakes, or like she had been rolling around in a pile of sticks.

count me in too....i used to look everything up in the "reader's guide to periodical literature".....remember that???? and then i'd copy the info out of there onto a slip of paper and hand it to the "periodicals clerk." anyway, i got pretty lucky and found a bunch of articles, including the "fleetwood clicks despite nicks"..i recall the reviewer thought the only song she cared about that night was a new one, "sisters of the moon." believe it or not, i even remember finding a blurb about the "rosebud" film. i don't remember anything about that except the running time was about 45 minutes, which sounds about right. i should have copied this stuff back then.

i also recall an article from 1977 where it reported one of stevie's prized shalls at the time had been stolen. It was one she wore during "landslide."
can't remember whether there was a picture with that article.

yes, some of us were big dork microfilm sluts back then. i did most of my research in the early 80's when i really became a fan.

Oh my god you guys are making me laugh so hard. Yes, the guide to periodical literature sounds familiar, and the little slips you'd give to the clerk and then hold your breath as the person disappeared behind all those sliding shelves LOL. The # of magazines they brought back was always less than the # of slips I'd given them!!! I got a few articles that way and they were almost black, as Nixxxed said. Oh boy that was a good chuckle.

YES!!!! I love you, right now... That was a good theme song, too, as theme songs go.
I didn't see it all the time, but i remember not liking Snyder, and loving VB. I was veeery impacted when she got her perfect hair in the feather cut... *jealous much?*

Brooklyn in the late 70's was divided. You had the disco heads and the rock heads. I hung with the rock heads in Cooper Park. Everyone loved Fleetwood Mac. There were some though who could take em or leave em and they were ususually into hard rock of the time such as Led Zeppelin , Sabbath, Deep Purple etc..etc. All the guys thought Stevie was so hot. I also remember these 2 girls havinng a fist fight because the one girl was bragging about her new Stevie Nicks haircut and the other girl was like 'your hair does not look like Stevie's", it was hilarious.
