David the Gnome!

I still remember Duckula. I loved Duckula. And Mappletown. But my all-time fave was Inspector Gadget...

Remember that show about that guy and girl who worked in a department store and the mannequins came to life? Loved that one, too, but I can't remember the name...

I remember Book It. Instead of using stickers, though, they would use those fake earrings and put those on my bookmark instead.

Gawd, this thread is a trip down memory lane. I didn't realize I was so freakin' old.

Actually, imagine if you didn't really know most of the things people were talking about? Then, then, you would feel old you would feel five years older, to be specific...

I was a total Book It whore. I read like a fiend- I started reading when I was three, and I was bringing stuff like Stephen King's It to school in second grade, and teaching everyone about sex based off what I'd read in it... haa! I would get enough Book It free personal pan pizzas to feed my family at Pizza Hut once a week. It was insane.

WOW! Duckula!! I loved Duckula. But Inspector Gadget was one of my absolute favorites, too. Although I had some weird hatred for Penny. I always wanted her to buy the farm, as a child. She got on my nerves.

I didn't like penny, either.

Nick at Night better step it up and start including these shows. I think it would be a boost for the channel.

OMG, It! I was horrified when I got to the orgy section. My ten year old eyes couldn't believe it. I checked "The Burning Bed" out of the library and brought it to school to read when I was in third grade. I got in trouble for that one.

I liked Penny and her dog. I hated The Claw. He just freaked me out big time.

You poor thing. Are you of the Joanie Loves Chachi age? Don't feel too bad, I had to grow up with Charles In Charge.

Do you remember the show "Honey, I'm Home"? It was on Nick At Night in 1990, I believe, and it was their attempt at original programming. It was about two families that lived next door, one was a modern family and all of their scenes were in color, and the other was an old-fashioned 50s family and all their scenes were in black and white. No one I know remembers it one bit.

If they want to get good ratings, they need to bring back ALF, Mork and Mindy, Gimme A Break, Facts of Life, etc. All the good shows that I grew up watching.

Actually, I watched C in C. I think with the Nickelodeon shows, we didn't have nickelodeon. I remember my best friend in 5th grade would watch them at her house...I remember watching Inspector Gadget. Never saw Joanie love Chachi...
I think i was too old, or didn't like live action shows with kids, to like those Nick ones...I didn't like live action shows very much in general, so...
However, I absolutely don't remember Oregon Trail! sounds kinda fun, though...

Do you remember when Nickelodeon would have "Special Delivery" every Saturday and Sunday afternoon? It would always be an hourlong block of a certain show (Duckula, Mappletown, Koala, Fairy Tales, Inspector Gadget, etc.) and then a movie. I remember that they played Howard the Duck, Garbage Pail Kids, that stupid movie about the kid who shrinks himself into a postage stamp, The Phantom Tollbooth, and a bunch of other classics.

There are no words to describe how I loved this game show! I always wanted to be on it just for the ending where they search all those rooms for medals. It was a grand!
