When I have to return papers on people I’m unable to find or serve to appear, I drop them off at the front desk and split.

I do it all the time. I sing at the grocery store, when I'm out shopping, etc. Sometimes I dance too, if I'm in a store and the music is good.
If I'm in a crowd or out in public and I start feeling panicky (sometimes I get the panics) I start singing and I forget about the panics.

I can vouch for singing in public - we have even harmonized while careening done the Detroit highway with the top down in the car on the way to the last concert
