Angst must come first and foremost. We're talking, like, full-on hatred or everything, sometimes even oneself. This may also include 5-minute + long songs that are slow and self-reflective on how one is very superficial and hates anything official, but it is not necessarily required. However, it will add bonus points, particularly based on the level of sass and/or "F*ck it"ness. Etc.

Thusly. Chrissie. Siouxsie. Shirley. Debbie. Fiona Apple. Patti Smith. Grace Slick (since she owns anyway). Stevie (even though she's not that angsty). And TK!Gwen.

Show me some sass/angst, and we'll talk.

She was FAB in it. I have told this story before, but I partied with JJ and Lea Delorio (sp.?) on New Years Eve when JJ was in that play. Let me just say that the edge only JJ could give Crimson and Clover - is palpable in person. I did not really hang with them too much, but they were both great!!!!!!!
