Heck I admit it was fun while it lasted, but I doubt if I made any advances towards a gay male in that thread. If I did I didn’t know it. This board has no male, female, or other option to choose from so you never know who your really talking to. Hi Amanda.

But that is just the thing - most people here do not differentiate when in jest someone says they are gay or straight. In fact, it is a little rude when people do take offense. I mean it makes being gay seem like it is a dirty thing and the gay people are going to be threatened if they dare joke with the straight people about it. To me, it is the same as the straight people beating up the gay people on the playground at school just because they are gay or, an admittedly lesser extreme example, straight people saying "I do not mind someone being gay - but I will never vote to allow them to be a first class citizen like us straight people." I think both of those latter events are outrageous

I mean Curtis never got huffy when it was suggested that he was straight - I think the mindset is it is gross to be gay - that hurts people and it is generally not the mindset around here

I'm not gay and I get hit on all the time by dykes, it doesn't bother me but then again I'm not a homophobic

I don't want to say it really bothers me getting hit on by a chick, but yes it IS a tad uncomfortable. I won't lie. Sometimes people who don't have many gay friends, it takes a while to get used to it. I am not completely used to it even. But I guess I shouldn't jump to conclusions, I don't know if certain people have gay friends or not. It's all just another change in society that was inevitable.
