Default Jane

For those of you who have an extreme dislike for Jane (the song ),
if you remove the "Chimp" line...

Still nothing?

Love Italian men.. Whats wrong with bald? Some of the sexiest men are bald or receeding ie: Steve Austin, Sean Connery, Mark McGuire, Jeremy Piven, Lindsey Buckingham, Eros Ramazotti etc etc it's all good

My dad is 65yo and has a thick full head of hair and very little body hair and he is 100% Italian

I hated to tell him that my heart always races, because of my anxiety.

Way to ruin a romantic moment, eh?
Awwwwww. That's so sweet! I can relate because my heart is often racing and it has nothing to do with any, uh...urges. I just love having it listened to. I can see how someone would misinterpret that.

I love listening to animal's hearts, too! We found a really, really sweet stray cat outside the dorm once and my first thought was to go grab one of my stethoscopes to listen to his heart. He was so comfortable with us that I could hear nothing but purring, though! And I'm always trying to listen to all my friend's pet's hearts. (Did I do all those apostrophes right?)

Anyway, I'm glad that you and Brian said that, because I was so upset last night that I just went to bed all miserable and pathetic. It saddens me to no end to imagine that someone couldn't appreciate it on any level, considering it's my whole world. It would tear me apart to not be able to share it with someone who is special to me. And it makes me think of the aforementioned friend I've been trying to broach the subject with. I can't begin to figure out how to explain it to her. She knows about my stethoscope collection and she has absolutely nothing to say about it. I started thinking how devastated I would be if she were to say that it's simply gross and/or disconcerting. So, thank you for the positive comments.

Hillary

The gas comment? All the homophobic comments? The following religion even though you don't even believe it comment? There was more than one, you know. Don't you want everyone to remember? I was under the impression that you said those things just to get a rise out of other Ledgies.

I have never even thought of that line that way but I definitely see your point. Also for years I thought it was drives you back. Not my fault, Stevie's unintelligible!
I really like your interpretation! I never thought about it that way. Thanks for the new perspective.

You know, now that I'm talking about him, I really miss him. He was sweet and kind, gentle and cute. Then his ex-boyfriend got wind that we were dating, he got jealous, and convinced J. to get back together with him.

"When love changes in the flash of an eye, it leaves people burning by the side of the road...."

For the record, they were history once more about two months later.
And, also for the record, he has since apologized to me for all of that -- explaining that he was very confused at the time, and "didn't know a good thing when it was right in front of (his) face."
Some people just take longer to "get it". I may hear something like this from my recent ex at some point. Then again, maybe I won't. We had something special but he kept messing it all up. I certainly do welcome the new year and a new start for me.

You're welcome. My kitty was sleeping on my bed last night but he woke up so when I tried to listen to his heart he was purring away. I have never heard of anyone so caught up in listening to hearts! It is the fountain of life though and where we say our love is. Begin unsolicited advice -- I would say before broaching the subject with your friend talk to her about this hobby of yours. She may not invite it but try not to take it personally. Then again, she may be fine with it. -- End unsolicited advice.

So, it's very difficult to hear a cat's heart when he or she is awake and happy, isn't it? I haven't had much luck with that, and it sounds like I'm not alone. I really appreciate the advice. That's a beautiful line and I couldn't agree more--it is the "fountain of life and where we say our love is." That sums up my feelings I've held all of my life. Hearts are what I hold to when I have no hope. I will try to explain my obsession to her before I ask the question. (Hmmmm...but I won't call it an obsession, since that has a tendency to sound kind of scary ). Thank you, Suze.

Nope, call it a hobby. You're welcome :-)

Upon further review, my list stands.

Except Street Angel, which is growing on me more & more.

I still don't like Kick It, but I have determined that it actually rocks up until the chorus. Rockin' song, floaty chorus - BOO! Unacceptable! That is all.

It was you who remembers everything, not Curtis. Well it's easy to confuse you too since you are twins But serously, almost none of the things I say on those issues should mean much, since I didn't really mean it all that much. And I think I've maybe said 1 or 2 things that MAY be considered homophobic, but how quickly you gorget how I wasw on your side in that Ann Coulter board thing. The only issue I really really have a real position on is the Death Penalty. Anything else, I'm a John Kerry style flip flopper.

Default not too many

I am not too fond of Sometimes It's a Bitch, from Timespace, and I never understood why she decided to sing it... stevie is not plain speaking in songs, usually, and sometimes it's a bitch, sometimes it's a breeze doesn't sound like anything she'd write... ever. Similarly, though I like her Free Fallin', it is not entirely convincing, if you know what I mean?

Some songs from Belladonna and Street Angel (Kick it, or Jane, for example) are inferior compared to songs like Sara, Seven Wonders, Has Anyone Ever Written etc etc... but I still like them

Yeah, but Curtis is a gay guy and I'm a gay chick. And I think he doesn't remember the stuff 'cause he seems to be a lot more easy-going than I am. But I knew you were against Bush and appeared to be democratic and/or flexible in other ways, so it's hard for me to understand why you say these things unless you just want to yank people's chains.

And I'm not trying to be difficult, but the thing about homosexuality being a "horrible life-long disease" is decidely homophobic. It's comparable to me saying that your heterosexuality is a "horrible life-long disease." It's a part of who you are and there's nothing inherently wrong with it.
