I would love to hear "Julia"!

Sheesh...I don't log onto The Ledge until about 6, and look what happens...

*Avril Lavigne is an aloof, distant performer. I used to think she had a strong, clear voice; now it sounds to me like that voice has been damaged by cigarette use or something. I don't think she's all that interesting.

*Some of Destiny's Child's songs are danceable but most of the time they're really boring.

*Christina Aguilera has a good voice. I LOVE "Lady Marmalade"(sp?) and "Beautiful" but don't know about her slutty album or whatever.

*I'm addicted to Stevie. Enough said.

Um...Now, off to the "what stevie songs don't you like?" thread, I guess.

Oh yeah! "Lady Marmalade" kicked ass! ('Cept for Lil' Kim's gratuitous additions). And I don't like a lot of Christina's music now, but there's no denying she has a fantastic voice!

It's not a slutty album. Dirrty and her appearance are no representation of a masterpiece.

I think "Get Mine Get Yours" is a slutty song.

Sorry, I made an assumption. I've never listened to the album. And you know what happens when people assume things...

(I popped the "Moulin Rouge" DVD in the computer and watched the Lady Marmalade video...)

It is. I admit. Other than those two songs, it's PG13.

Work me like a 9 to 5 .........I love that line in that song.

Not me. I have really small feet for a guy (size 7).

I forgot all about "Annabel Lee"! I haven't heard it, but I dig the lyrics (I'm not the biggest Poe fan in the world, but I like that one), so I would like to see that one on her new album.

"Annabel Lee" has been set to music many times. I know of one very old folk example in triple meter -- very famous one & it's in all the folk music anthologies. Stevie just wrote another melody for it -- this time in duple meter.
