Default Does anyone know of RUMOURS, the Fleetwood Mac tribute band?

I was getting a good laugh at some of the tribute bands on this site. Then I came across the Fleetwood Mac tribute. They really don't look anything like the band but the Stevie impersonator sure sounds a lot like her. I'm cringing at the Lindsey one though.

I saw them a few years ago at The Odeon here in Cleveland. I had a great time. I thought the performances were exciting and I know I sang and twirled like a fool. But, NATURALLY they fell short of the real thing!

They performed at The Wild Heart Affair (Stevie fan party) in San Francisco a couple years ago. I thought they were great, but my friend swears they were awful. I was a little toasted so who knows...?

I did see a Canadian tribute band called Rumours a few years ago (at Carlos & Charlie's in Austin). But I can't tell if these are the same people or not?? The Stevie girl looks the same, but I don't really recognize anyone else. I remember when I saw them, the LB, John and Mick guys made NO effort to dress up like any of them. So, it ended up looking like a couple of Stevie/Chris wannabes and some random backup musicians.

Their version of "The Chain" kicks ass! He's got Lindsey's guitar style down and this version is like the Mirage show's ... except apparently they close with it. Haha and when they say goodnight to the audience, I think they sound like Spinal Tap, but that's just me.

I've had the pleasure to see the Canadian Tribute Band Rumours, several times, and they are not only a really good band, but good people. The show in Austin, was tough as their guitar player unexpectedly didn't make the trip. They arrived at 4:00pm and had to be on stage at 8:00pm.. They found someone in Austin and had to work out the show there and then. I've been to shows, where they get more attention and applause then the national acts. I've talked to the singer who is super down to earth and justs trys to put forth an entertaining show. If you have a chance you should give them a chance. Also, remember, there is one Canadian Rumours and a U.S. Rumours. The Canadian Rumours has now re-vamped the band, adding an additional guitar, more diverse songs from Stevie and a even more entertianing show.

There used to be a Rhode Island based band called Rumours. They don't look like the band at all which is nice. They just cover all Mac songs and they really don't try to sound like them. The last time that they were playing anywhere here was in the summer of 2003 but I was actually traveling to see the real Mac during those times so I havn't seem them since January 2003.

I don't know if they are still around since the lead singer lives in LA.

I saw the canadian Rumours band a couple of months ago here in St. Louis. THey were really good! I didn't know what to expect, but I was very impressed. The Stevie girl did a GREAT version of Talk to Me. Close your eyes and you could barely tell the difference. (well for Talk to Me...though she still sounded a lot like her on other songs, too.)

I saw a different incarnation of that band (the stevie girl looks different) about 5 years ago and i was blown away. The were so good!

I asked them to come to the east coast. They said they would when they got money!!

I really think it's them!
