Website problems

Just an FYI - my website is down right now. I am ready to throttle Verizon technical suport - I've called several times in the past few weeks, since I have been unable to access my email, or my site to update it. First it was a problem with the phone line in my house, then it was a problem in "my area," then not my area but my region, blah, blah, blah...

Anyway, they reset a bunch of crap yesterday & now apparently my site is GONE. I will be calling tonight when I get home, but I have a bad feeling that I'll have to build it from scratch again.

Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Just got off the phone with them. They claim that they can't delete personal webspace, so I must have done it

How the f*ck could I do that if I couldn't access it? So I have to build it from scratch. I asked for the billing dept. (I had better get SOME kind of reimbursement for this sh*t!) and I was told to call back at normal business hours........

F*CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paula, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know problems w/ these websites etc can really make you want to pull the hair out of your head. You have my sympathy.

I feel for you girl. I lost my Stevie Nicks website when my old ISP got gobbled up by Earthlink. They did send me a notice telling me to download my webpage while they changed servers, but I didn't read the email until it was too late.

Not sure what all you have to go thru to rebuild your site. I woulda had to rescan a ton of pics and the whole nine yards. After many tears, I decided to relinquish my webmistress title and just enjoy other people's websites.

FREAKIN UGH, MAN!!!

I had my site on a server called beepworld.de a long time ago and I still have my account there! It has 20MB webspace (I know, it is not too much) and banner free sites! You can also do frames there easily and all of that! The problem is, all of it is in german! Idk if this helps! I also thought about upgrading my account, so that I have more bandwidth and more webspace and then I could host your site for free (like I do with Chris' www.bluecrystalmirror.com at the moment) and give you like 10GB of bandthwith and as much webspace as you need! Any interest?

Thanks so much for the offer, I'm still trying to deal with Verizon right now & figure out what the deal is. My site HAS to be somewhere, since my avatars for all message boards are linked there & they're still working...

I was very happy with their website services - until this. I'll keep your offer in mind though.

Hey guys.
I also have been having numerous website problems!
OMG I have not been able to update for almost a month! This is really REALLY bad. I finally got it to come up to where I could update it, So hopefully we should see updates late tomorrow!

Paula - So sorry to hear that. I'm so paranoid about losing all my stuff that I backup all my files regularly. Its definitely a pain, but well worth it.

Thankfully most everything on my site is saved on my hard drive and/or disc, it just pisses me off that I have to piece everything back together again. And with the holidays coming, I have no clue when I'll have time to do it.

And I was just about ready to start trading agin too!
