You are so bad

Seriously, I think MJ may have cash flow probs from time to time, but The Beatles sold way into the millions last year and have for many years and they are no the only rights this guy owns. Remember, he has been making millions a year since for about 25 or 30 years.

When you have as many assets as Michael Jackson, get back to me. When you have tons of the Beatles catalog and your own catalog to your name, I'd like to see you borrow $500,000. The man obviously has enough money to maintain his playground out back and enough money to invite hundreds of random fans over for free gifts, free rides, and free food. He obviously has enough money to continue his million-plus shopping sprees. He might be having financial problems, but his kind of financial problem is having $500 million instead of having $600 million. There is no way in hell that Michael Jackson had to borrow $500,000. For all we know, that figure is for studio/producer fees or in-studio perks, but it certainly is not what Michael Jackson borrowed. I believe lots of things and find him to be crazier than a ****house rat with rabies, but believing that is like believing that Batman truly exists.

Then this porn producer is going to have a hard time getting back his $500,000 if it's not documented.

The more I read about him the more I get sad, he's transforming himself (with a huge help from the media) in a pathetic and dark comic character.

From what I understand, Jackson doesn't own the rights to the Beatles songs and hasn't for quite some time now..

From what I remember he sold them on to Sony for a heap of money years back.. I can't remember exactly how much though... I think he bought them off McCartney for about $50 million and a few years later sold them for about $300 million.. Thats why Jackson and McCartney had a major bust up after they were "pals". I think Paul felt rather pissed at being shortchanged by MJ.

It's a while ago so somebody can go hunt the net for the details, I haven't got the time. I need to sleep!

I wouldn't be surprised if Jackson was broke personally, he's a serial spender and millions of dollars to him is like hundreds to the rest of us..

I'm just glad the trial judge has seen through all the bull**** and is pushing ahead with the hearing in January. The more excuses and obstacles the defense lawyers keep coming up with to delay this case the more I'm convinced he's guilty personally.

I'm not about to get into a huge debate about MJ coz I tried that before and at the mo it just seems like too much hard work.

BUT...

MJ does still own HALF of the Beatles catalogue and HALF of Sony music. so i find it hard to believe that hes broke. Sony arent too pleased that MJ is earning money from their artists (such as Destiny's Child) so they therefore tried to sabotage his last album Invincible so it would flop, he would therefore lose money, he would therefore have to sell his share of Sony back to them.

Thank you and good night.

Well, I read an enormous article about his financial troubles last year. It was in either Rolling Stone or Vanity Fair. The gist of it was that in regards to his stake in all of that publishing, he had leveraged enormous loans against future earnings. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-600 million from Bank of America, or as I call them - El Banco Diablo. Plus, his own music has not been generating the kind of cash flow it used to. He has little cash flow, period.
The end of the article summed it all up by saying that while he isn't BROKE, he is essentially living on loans and that his current income doesn't quite cover the payments. His ASSETS would, but his income doesn't. Basically, he's cash poor. Kind of like the US government. People in this kind of predicament rarely lose everything, but it is a strange way to live.
I think the truth of the situation is closer to : He is worth 1 billion, and his debts are about 700 million. He is mortgaged within an inch of his life. While the scale of the money involved is mind boggling, the concept is simple. He lives beyond his means. In spite of the numbers, it sounds like a house of cards to me.

Thumbs down Ugh....

Everytime I read about a celebrity that lives beyond their means, I wanna vomit. I would like to think that if I were super rich, I'd have money in the bank (like I do now) and live a decently modest life. I wouldn't be buying 7 million dollar vases to stick in a corner to collect dust.

If I were super rich, I'd wanna travel the world most of all...build my dream home...but FIRST, I'd take care of my family and friends.
