That's because Stevie sings way too low on SYW.

I enjoyed IKINW live, but it just didn't have any spark to it. It's a very simple song that they turned into a theatrical slap-dash and it just ruined it, IMO.

Oh, please, no...not Carlos...if there's a choice of guitarists between Carlos & Neale, keep Neale. I can't stand Carlos' playing...thank GOD Rick Vito was also in Stevie's solo band for the Street Angel tour, at least then she had ONE legitimate guitarist in the band...and BOTH guitarists in her Enchanted tour weren't worth a crap (Carlos being one of 'em)

Nope...Carlos wasn't on The Dance...Neale was the only "extra" guitarist (not counting when Brett played acoustic guitar on a couple of tunes)

The original is maybe more layered then the live-version. It's just a shame that they took every layer and sorted it out for the live-arrangement. Lindsey should have said STOP here...."I'm playing live, I'm not in the f*cking studio AGAIN!"

But in spite of that....I think the original spark is still there live......

I think it is kinda screwy to get "hired guns"...every ex-guitarist of Fleetwood Mac is still around, so why don't they get, let's say, Rick Vito & Bob Welch to come back into the band? Play a couple of THEIR songs during the set as well ("Hypnotized", "Got No Home" )...plus, Bob & Rick could trade off doing a couple of Peter Green tunes, as well. Welch with "Oh Well", Rick with "I Loved Another Woman"...add "Rattlesnake Shake" as an encore song.

Personally if I wanted to hear the record I'd stay home and listen to it When I go and see a band live I want that rawness that comes with it.
Enough of the polish please. Saying that they are still an incredible live band but I wish they'd lose the backing band.

It's a great idea, but what about ego clashing? I could even see Rick Vito in the band, but to put Lindsey and Bob Welch on the same stage sounds dangerous...

That's a problem with the live mix, not the women singing. It's almost impossible to adjust what you're doing onstage -- whether it's singing or playing -- to create a blend for the FOH (front of hall). It's all in the mixer's hands.

I think Carlos is sort of Stevie's Kenny G. since 1989: he's way too "adult contemporary" for good, loud rock & roll. I've always scoffed when fans say "Stevie rocks!" because she's a "vocalist" these days instead of a rock singer. She obviously leans toward the adult contemporary blandness side of things on her albums & in her live shows. She uses very bland, mainstream players like Carlos instead of rockers -- but that's been mostly true since she started in '81.

I think she rocks when she wants to, then in the same show or record she goes towards pop/soft Rock/ folk/ fusion/ a bit of country... but hasn't it always been this way?

Responding to the I Know Im Not Wrong selection. I can't explain this very well, but I will do my best. I like how they played a lot of songs from tusk on this tour, but im sorry IMO IKINW stunk. I know theres a lot of lindsey fans here that were just excited to see the song becaise it was on tusk. I really did not like it when i saw them in Mansfield. I enjoyed Dreams more which is second to last on the last of songs which i emjoyed the most .

It had not pizazz or any special quality to it. Eyes of the World was so much more fun and awesome. Stevie looked bored on IKINW and so was I. They could have picked a better "unknown song". I think Thats Enough for Me or Miranda would have been better.
