I'm still getting freaky pages here and there, but I'm sure it will be fixed soon. No worries.

Thanks Marty and Liz for trying to fix the problems.

Were you trying to go through the main/front page? We just realized yesterday that that was not working, whereas the rest of the site was fine! Hopefully all has been fixed now.

Bob Welch actually called us yesterday about the site as well, wondering what has been going on w/ it. I think anyone trying to access the main page first must have thought the site was down for longer than it actually was.

Anyway I think by now Marty and my BIL have fixed everything....

(drooling) Bob Welch calling! That guy is SO freakin' cool. He answers questions on his own site all the time. I'm in Nashville semi regularly, and have tried to work up the guts to contact/track him down( ), but have always been afraid that might freak him out. I'd love to have him sign my Welch era FM albums. Do you know the main reason I haven't? I don't know nearly as much about his solo years, as I do about FM (duh), and I'm afraid that that might be insulting to him. Which, of course, wouldn't do.

Aahh, the ever-present fear of somehow insulting our FMac idols! Such pressure.

He is a cool guy. I missed his call by 1 minute as I had just come in from picking up my daughter from gymnastics. Someone on his site had asked him what was up w/ ours, so i guess he was curious too as to why there'd trouble getting in. He did mention on his site that he knew we'd done a Q&A w/ John, so maybe he checked that out. The 'coolness' of things like that never fails to amaze me.

Wow, to have him sign your Welch era albums...dare to dream. Wouldn't that be great....BTW how would he really know how much/little you know about his solo career anyway (if someday you do happen to bump into the man)? I don't think he'd grill you. A fan is a fan.

ARGH! I'd be mad at myself for a month!

Reading stuff from his website, he appears to have no ego at all.

I don't know. I think it might just feel odd to him that I'm not putting any solo albums in his face for him to sign. Maybe I worry too much? I just got a Paris album though, so I'm working on that!
Lis, do you know exactly "what" he does now? Did I dream that he was doing some writing for a music magazine? I told him (wrote on his site)that I thought he should play again, at least locally. Then, I'll just plan one of my Nashvegas jaunts around his playing schedule!

Actually no, I really don't know what he's up to. I'd be curious myself. Yesterday was the 1st we'd heard from him in ages. Although we are certainly also to blame for not staying in touch....Marty has been so busy w/ work lately, it's not even funny, and he's the one that pretty much spoke to Bob in the past. I think the last I heard from them was a call from Bob's wife w/ a question about something about a year ago, and i remember I had a houseful of screaming kids and couldn't even really talk for more than a minute. I cringe even now, remembering it LOL. Such a professional establishment we run here. That's why I much prefer e-mail!!
