Mick Fleetwood's Celebrity Playlist:
1. Velvet Revolver- 'Slither' It's great to hear such a powerful rock band again. This song makes you want to move. 2. John Lee Hooker- 'Boom Boom' Strong and cool all rolled into one. 3. The Rolling Stones- 'Ruby Tuesday (live)' The Stones and particularly Ruby Tuesday take me back to England and some great memories. 4. Peggy Lee- 'Fever' I love the whole dark and sultry vibe. 5. Annie Lennox- 'Why' There is such a yearning in the vocal, just a great romantic song. 6. Neil Young- 'After The Gold Rush' This one weaves such a rich story. All of Neil's songs have such a poetic quality. 7. U2- 'Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of' A song everyone can identify with in some way. 8. Marvin Gaye- 'What's Going On' Nobody has more soul than Marvin and it all comes through here. 9. Coldplay- 'Clocks' This tune is so well crafted and I love the melody. 10. Luciano Pavarotti- 'Turandot, Act III, Nessun dorma!' Very special to me because it was a song my wife and I listened to while I was courting her. |

I can appreciate all types of music even if I dont like it. I mean you might not like Eminem but he does write some pretty good lyrics. Also I dont particularly like Coldplay but I can see why people would like them. They are very talented. I completely love Maroon 5. Songs About Jane is one of the best cd's I have heard lately. Their songs are different and the writing is really good. They are amazing in concert. I can totally see why Stevie likes them. I bought their cd almost 2 years ago and I was just blown away. I am still listening to it today and that says something about a CD when you like every single song on it.

Eminem has his moments but they're few and far between. I mean, look at the things he's doing now-- ''Just Lose It'' ,and trying to get political with that new anti-Bush song & video it's a bit late for that now!! His days are almost numbered..he's running out of ideas! As for bands like Coldplay,I just don't buy into what they're trying to do. Even though their music is well-produced,there's a hype that surrounds them and they're hailed as the biggest band on the planet, and heralded as the ''new U2''..pfft! What a joke. Chris Martin hailed as a great frontman?? When did that happen?! These kind of bands have a very 'here today, gone tomorrow' quality about them. There's an insincerity somewhere in the bombastic nature of their songs..almost like they're acting.I can't stand that. -Bryan Last edited by Bryan; 11-22-2004 at 12:06 PM.. |

How about the equally pretty "Signore ascolta" from the same opera, Mick? Or try a little Verdi with your morning Puccini.
