It's a movie about 2 Stevie fans - a coming of age sort of film. You can read all about it here:

Gypsy 83 Official website

This director also did a film called Edge of Seventeen.

sorry, don't care. When Stevie's Live in Concert comes out on DVD, then I'd care.

Me too! That's cool. Although I would also prefer a DVD for Live in Concert.

If I recall correctly, that's the only song the production has been allowed to use and only because Stevie didn't write it. I think the director spoke about it in an interview or in the Q & A he did on Burnish.

Does anyone know how that is handled? Afterall, Edge of Seventeen was just in School of Rock. Is it on a movie to movie basis?

Well, without opening up the entire can of worms - if I recall correctly, Stevie's "people" weren't down with the subject matter of the film - the homosexuality, etc. I don't think Stevie herself was ever really approached or informed that Todd Stephens was interested in using her music. They just said "no." So, Talk to Me was used - as already mentioned - Stevie didn't write it.

ok, i think she was joking when she said that thing. Maybe if we buy it, next time that guy makes a movie, maybe Stevie's "people" will let him put her f***ing songs in it!!!
I think Sara just made an off the cuff comment. What if people hated you forever for some off the cuff remark you made, once? Weird...
