For $5.95 you can buy the chart history for FM. It looks pretty cool and I think I might order one for myself.
Here is the link to check it out: http://www.vnuemedia.com/digitalmall...=Entertainment |

Is it $5.95 for everything that's charted in Billboard? Or is it $5.95 to see the singles that charted.... $5.95 to see the albums that charted.... etc.

It shows all the singles that charted along with albums and then it has a list of singles that showed up just under the hot 100. It is about 2 1/2 pages long. I bought it but I didnt realize that you had to print it. I was hoping for a hard copy but I guess I will have to buy some nice paper and print it out myself.

And according to some sources, including Google AI, Fleetwood Mac's Rumours first reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart on April 2, 1977 (so yesterday was 49 years ago). The iconic album dominated the charts for 31 non-consecutive weeks, becoming one of the best-selling records of all time.
Mick wrote The high hopes and countless hours we had poured into Rumours were completely validated when the album slipped into the number one album chart position on May 21, 1977, displacing Hotel California by our colleagues and friendly rivals the Eagles. Rumours stayed at number one on the Billboard and Cashbox charts for the next eight months, a total of thirty-one straight weeks. ![]()

And now this post appeared in my FB. What caught my attention is that some songs that today are forgotten, not so popular or somehow underrated (Big Love, WICYF) or have been criticized (Talk To Me) reached higher positions than songs that have become unforgettable legends.
I wonder how different are the Billboard charts from the worldwide figures. Would they be similar? Cause I can't undestand how Talk To Me reached a higher position than Gypsy or Everywhere. Or Go Insane than Landslide. The power of marketing? PS: Is it correct that Christine's initials are CV? ![]() https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=28076803855264264 ![]()

Leather and Lace and Trouble were also held up by Physical which spent 9 weeks at #1 and Waiting for a Girl like you at #2 for 11 weeks and other monster songs like Start Me Up and Arthur's Theme. Those songs cock blocked everyone from moving up.

Another thing to keep in mind. A song's success is calculated more by weeks on charts than peak position. Of course everyone wants bragging rights to have #1 or land inside the top 10. But a hit is calculated by weeks on charts. There are some songs that race to #1 that you never hear again and songs that peak at #11 and you still hear every day. Dreams was #1 but landed at Billboards #39 biggest songs of 1977. Hold Me finished 1982 as the #31 biggest song of 1982.
The biggest song of 1977 was You Light Up My Life and its a song that is never played anywhere ever. Yet Dreams is heard almost every day and finished way lower of the biggest hits of 1977. Some songs are just so good they are played on radio decades later. Car Wash finished 1977 as a much bigger hit than Dreams yet the only time you hear it if you listen to Studio 54. Lastly some of the Rolling Stone's biggest hits were never released as singles. Its incredible how their music had its own charts. Gimmie Shelter is no doubt one of their biggest hits you still hear today but it never was released as any single. Gold Dust Woman was a radio hit that you still hear today and it was never released as a single. So lets not let the long lines of chiffon cloud our thought process here. ![]()

This chart is missing John Stewart's Gold. It also looks like a festive Christmas post.
