I am afraid I have made no claim that can not be supported. My ONLY claim was that there can be doubt as to who Lindsey, Mick and Stevie would vote for in the election. The idea that Stevie liked Clinton = Stevie would vote for Kerry is ridiculous. Liking one person does not necessarily mean they will like every candidate that follows that person. I am not saying that Stevie does not support Kerry or that Lindsey doesn't support Kerry, merely that there is the possibility for doubt since neither has outright said, "I like and am voting for Kerry." Barring such a statement, my claim (that there can be doubt) are 100% accurate unlike the post I originally responded to.

Michael

Edit: can someone explain how a completely bipartisan get out the vote ad can somehow be misconstrued as backing kerry?

Will reply to my own post--
I actually just checked my outbox and that Clinton question is one of the ones he already has there to answer. Watta coincidence. Just wanted to mention that.

Actually, I can't wait until this election is over because I'm sick and tired of it and I'm sick and tired of coming to this Fleetwood Mac board and seeing banners everywhere endorsing political candidates and reading little snide political comments here and there when all I REALLY want to do is read about my favorite band. I hear and read enough political BS on the radio, TV, newspaper etc......the last thing I want to do is read it here.

Well, isn't all of that what the "Chit-Chat" forum is for?

Yep, that's what I thought. So why the hell is this thread here? And why in the hell am I reading it?

BTW, I voted for Clinton....doesn't mean I'm voting for Kerry. Just thought I'd throw that in. Undecided here. I'm debating writing in Mickey Mouse.

Sure. GOTV ads are aimed at people who don't usually vote and a large percentage of them tend to vote for the challenger as opposed to the incumbent. Which is exactly what you will see once the returns come in on Tuesday evening.

Yeah, so why hasn't it been moved there yet? It doesn't belong on the Rumours forum.

Lol not hypocritical at all, plenty of rich people vote Democrat, because they know what's right...like my aunt (who is very rich) says "i should vote for republicans because im the one who benefits from their policies, but i cannot see making everyone else pay and pay and pay so i can get some measely tax cuts..." Many rich people also care a lot about other issues, other than taxes I'm sure, like abortion rights, gay rights, freedom and or the lack thereof, health care for those less fortunate...

It bugs me how Republicans are criticized for only caring about the rich, when celebrity Democrats live more extravagantly than anybody. I don't see them giving up any of their luxuries. It's not like they need three gas guzzling SUVs.

EDIT: I agree with them in that they should stand up for gay rights, abortion rights, etc. I just find them hyprocritical on poverty, education, etc.

I think living extravagently with your own money, is different than voting for policies that enable the rich to get richer, and the poor to get poorer. about the SUV's, yeah. but rich repubs already have enough money, yet they still vote to help themselves get and keep more. IMO
