Me too Sarah! She was my idol when I was a preteen and she'll always have a special place in my heart. My second concert was a Reba concert. I love those 90s hits.

Barry Manilow- I think I was around 12 so that would make it 1980 or so.
Next one was The Who around 1982. I wore the concert shirt that reeked of smoke to school the next day.

How about Aerosmith at a VERY small venue when I was like 17. I am from New Hampshire, and so are some of the band members , so they played to a crowd of about 300 (maybe) and the only hit they had was local stations playing Dream on....so many years ago...but I can still smell, taste and hear:
that first contact high, the tequila and "Dream on, dream on, dream on, DREAM...until your dreams come true!!!

That was the first of many, many shows I have been lucky enough to see-mainly because tickets used to cost $15-25. (American) and that was to see bands like the Who, the Stones...oh, those were the days...

According to RealOne Player it is. I thought they didn't start touring till May 2003.

I think Hawkeye meant the Buffalo show which was May 15, not April

That was my first concert too. I remember walking into Reunion Arena and just being in awe of the people, all the gals singing along with the Cover Girls' "We Can't Go Wrong". I remember the smokiness in the arena, and feeling a bit overwhelmed. LOL My mom was taking pics and I kept grabbing her arm going "OMG, mom, it's Joe!!!!" I ruined lots of pictures that way. We had to keep getting up in our chairs to see and security kept telling us to get down. It was irritating. We had bought upper balcony seats, but since the show was moved (forget why), we went to the ticket booth before the show and got 14th row back (good seats because it was the last row in the first section.) The girls next to me taught me something I never forgot, putting your fingers in your ears helps you to hear the people singing, and blocks out alot of the screams and loudness. I did that at the FM shows too. Heh.

Sigh....memories. It was February 1989 and I was almost 13. That was friggin 15 years ago people. LOL

OMG you're SO right. I saw them May 15th 2003 and the album came out April 15th 2003 You were all probably thinking, wow they gave hawkeye a private concert or you were probably thinking I screwed up
