Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, and Adrian Pasdar are in it. Like I said, it's the best vampire flick ever. There aren't any fangs, there is no garlic or crap like that, the word vampire is never even uttered. Yet it's brilliant.

WOW!

I didnt think id get this kind of a response!

Watcher in the Woods sounds awesome. Sounds like a movie I would rent or buy. I buy a lot of Independent Horror Movies that for the most part turn out great. Ive always seen Pumpkinhead and Evil Dead in the stores and they look bad, but hey ill rent them sometime.

Others I remembered:

The Pool
Jack Frost: Killer Snowman(hilarious)
Bloody Murder 2
HALLOWEEN 1-8 (including 3)

NEW HORRORS COMING OUT SOON:

LEPRECHAUN 7
CHILDS PLAY: THE SEED OF CHUCKY
HALLOWEEN 9
NEW FREDDY VS JASON TYPE OF MOVIE(YAY!)

Bette Davis, dude, you can't go wrong...well, you can, but it's hard
Hey, did you ever see The Dentist (or something) with Corbin Bernsen?
And the evil dead movies, i think, are funny horror movies....

Hey Amber,

yes I have seen the first Dentist. I didn't really like it because that kind of stuff makes me cringe (ie Teeth cracking, and bones breaking).

funny it doesnt bother me when Jason chops someones head off but when someone breaks a bone in a movie and you hear the snap i cringe!

So ridiculous.

ooh, I forgot about that...I watched it fairly vaguely, I don't have much patience for cheesy horror shlock..but...people always tell me there are "great" movies I gotta see, so i watch some of them...Most notable things (apparently) that i have never seen are: Caddy Shack and Spinal Tap. I'm cool to watch spinal tap, but..

Default Redrum! Redrum! Redrum!

THE SHINING
THE SIXTH SENSE

I saw Exorcist and Carrie on TV so it wasn't the same effect. good movies but I wasn't scared at all. Besides I saw far after their time. But good movies anyway. So my faves are the other two I mentioned: REDRUM! REDRUM! (I'll never forget the Shining)

I'm not much into horror movies, but I did like
The Amityville Horror
I've seen Carrie and one or two of the others mentioned (does It count as a horror movie), but that's it. Oh, I do think I saw a lot of the Nightmare on Elm St. movies in high school. They don't really scare me; just entertain, you know? But Amityville Horror? That got me!

i saw it way back in the late 70's when i was like 7 or 8. it must have been on network tv. it came out in '76 and i'm pretty sure it was in the theaters. anyway, the part i remember from back then was the part when the chauffeur
smashes down the door to Aunt Elizabeth's room (Bette Davis).

I still think it's such a creepy movie. That chauffeur was perfect for that part.

Halloween is my absolute favorite. I never get tired of watching it. Other favorites:

Pumpkinhead
Evil Dead series (very entertaining)
Nightmare on Elm Street
Terror Train (good movie with Jamie Lee Curtis that I saw on tv once and have never seen it anywhere again)
The Omen
Scream series

I'm sure there's more I just can't think of.

As long as we dont count the 3rd one I enjoyed the Scream's because they were inventive, and my slight crush at the time on Courteney Cox, but jeez the 3rd one blew.

I'm gonna have to say the third one did not blow, due to the presence of Parker Posey, and for various other reasons. And i forgot that I love those movies, and didn't mention them in my post In fact, I thought the third one was awesome!

Classic slice of Italian horror. I hear they're remaking this one.

Session 9
I've been plugging this one on the boards for ages! Go rent!

Tesis is quite disturbing. That's one that will be forever burned into my brain.

Suspiria is one of the best, very intense. The limited edition DVD set rocks.

Session 9 is terrifying. Scary as hell. And did I say that I live miles from that hospital?
