I have, indeed. I'd heard about it before it was released, and bought it the day it came out. I had sort of been getting into some of that vintage country stuff (mainly Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline) before, but Loretta caught my ear with Van Lear Rose. I also bought a 'greatest hits' compilation of hers, and have been listening to "Fist City" almost non-stop. Love that song.

Queen
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
U2
Iron Maiden
Guns N' Roses
Thin Lizzy
King Diamond/Mercyful Fate

No way there! There IS another old-time "metal-head" who just so happens to love the Mac too...
When I was 14 years old, I had a Stevie Bella Donna pin on one collar of my leather jacket and an Iron Maiden one on the other! I was a source of amusement to all those that noticed...
And Helloween...The pumpkin band..Where were they from again? Germany or something???
I LOVED them.
But on a SERIOUS note, I LOVE Thin Lizzy in ALL its MANY incarnations...The double live album is my all time favorite though..."Holy War" is AMAZING!!!
At any rate, I just wanted you to know that you're not "alone" and I hope things are "improving" with everything...
