call it whatever you please, i know what happened, and that i never picked up that phone to talk to that woman; i was trying to talk about joe here and people were saying that he had lied about it and so i had to bring up how my friends, which are great people, how they had the idea to call about a question; i could care less about what any of you think of me and my friends on here ~ you're not god and have no way to judge me.

It doesn't matter. If you didn't call, you were still there with them (what, giggling in the background?) and from the way you've talked about it in this thread it's evident that you don't think your friends did anything wrong by calling Lindsey Buckingham's wife to inquire about fan-made gifts. actually, i was the one saying that it wasn't a good idea; so again, think of me as what you want but i know who i am. and oh, no there wasn't any giggling in the background.

I didn't say you did call. I'm saying that if you didn't want people to respond to you after you had said your friends called Kristen that perhaps you should have never brought the subject up on an open forum to begin with. There'd be no reason to have to go there and even defend them on the subject. I have nothing to say about any of your friends because THEY'RE not the ones coming on here and making it publically known that they've taken part in calling up Kristen Buckingham/thinking it's OK that it was done. To quote Annie Lennox, "some things are better left unsaid..."

That's why I feel so bad 'cause he had totally made our reps look bad to this band, making us think that he had talked to her and then us sending emails to official sites having that Todd dude send how my friend She and I couldn't go and the band had wanted to meet us, stuff like that

Well that's not going to stop my friends and I from finding out what they thought, this was the biggest thing that had ever happened in our lives and we're very dtermined to make our dreams come true. And I do feel the need to apologize to Lindsey, I didn't make the calls but Joe did and I think that there has to be an apology; no one should be calling up his home like that AND I wouldn't doubt it if the band found out about some of the stuff.

He's the only one so far that has been willing to see what the band members thought of our gifts ~ well he didn't say that but at least he felt sorry for what my friends and I have been through, it's been hard; being told dif things, lied to; feeling as if the band didn't care ~ all stuff like that.

I was glad that he had sent it though, I didn't mind that he sent my story to Mick's management; my friends will do anything right now to find out what they thought ~ the band that is, we're not giving up no matter what.

The majority of your posts seem to focus on finding out if the band ever got your gifts and what they thought. I guess with 140 shows and possibly 10 gifts or cards and notes per show, the band would need a full time liason to help every fan find out how much they liked and appreciated their notes and gifts.

I suppose your story would stand out because it's unlikely most fans would be harassing their management to try to find out and telling them this insane story of calling Lindsey's private number twice to ask for his wife's help getting you and your friends backstage.

JMO, but I don't think you can clear up your rep

Please. You've said nothing in this thread so far that would lead us to believe you had any qualms about the phone call. In fact, the only thing you've seemed worried about is your friend ruining up your ~*~*rep*~*~ with the band. (As if rabidly trying to get to them in their hotel, obtaining one of their phone numbers, and calling and harassing one of their family members wasn't enough.)

Well maybe if you knew what it was, if you knew how unique the gifts were ~ maybe people would really understand that, maybe if you were an artist and took pride in what you've made, maybe you would be curious to find out what the reciever of the gift thought; people are making it seem like my friends and I are stalking out their GD homes or something. And I swear, do you read? I didn't say that they called up to get backstage, Joe did that on his own; Joe was the one that called up and said that she could do it. Harassing? Sorry but it was far from that, it was a simple question; Joe was the one that should have the "harassing" label on himself. And you can't tell me that there isn't one fan on here that has waited for the band to arrive at their hotel?

And of course the other thousand or so fans who gave the band gifts or cards and letters didn't put any effort into theirs, only you and your friends.

Do you read, Kimberly? More important, do you pay attention to what you post? Joe was part of your group, who in an effort to get backstage and meet the band violated Lindsey's privacy by calling his home twice. It was alright when Joe was calling if it would have worked. You keep trying to make it seem like all of you were some innocents in this charade, but you only want to distance yourself from Joe now that this has all gone badly. Why do I get the feeling that had you and your friends managed to get backstage and see the band (heaven forbid) Joe would be your best buddy and his call to Lindsey's home would be long forgotten since you and your friends would have gotten what they wanted.

Mikki's post rang a bell. Are you the fan who wrote that review about staying in the same hotel as the band and trying to get your notes to them and have the hotel employees help you? Some nonsense about the band hiding behind some curtain and sending you private messages that they loved your gifts?

God, it's like talking to a wall. It doesn't matter if it was only a simple question . . . Yea, I believe that was posted on Mick's board...and on Burnish...quite possibly even BN.net too. Stevie and Lindsey were giggling behind a curtain or something to that effect.

This is the problem that everyone else seems to see but you. Calling Lindsey's private home phone number twice and asking his wife to help you and your friends get backstage and find out if they liked your gifts is viewed by most fans as harassment. Like I said in my other post, if you and your friends would have succeeded at going backstage, Joe would be your best friend and the harassing phone calls long forgotten.
