I'd pay a decent amount of money to see Fleetwood Mac and Joe Walsh. But Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles? Meh. Not so much. And I agree, I can't see this happening any time soon. This seems like too much of a "nostalgia trip," anyways.

There is no way I could possibly see watch the show if the Eagles were to play last. It'd just be too hard to be on such a high from Fleetwood Mac and then having to watch The Eagles afterwards (not that I don't like the Eagles, they just couldn't FOLLOW Fleetwood Mac to me) Now the flip side of that would be great. Getting to see both bands and having The Eagles play first and having the grand finale last. But overall I'd say this probably won't and shouldn't happen.

Who would play first the Eagles or the Mac? Or would they take turns?
Most tours of this sort(where the 2 acts are of similar drawing power) alternate nights closing the show.

I can't imagine this ever happening. Like everyone says, the tickets would be godawful expensive if it did. I saw the Eagles once a few years ago, thankfully they were comp seats. They were okay, but there isn't a true showman in the group. The musicianship was flawless, the harmonies were great. There just wasn't much to look at. I am a big fan of their music, but I certainly wouldn't pay to see them.

I have yet to see the Eagles and I hope to someday just not with Fleetwood Mac. The ticket prices would be outrageous. I would not want to compete with Eagles fans for good tickets either.
I don't see this happening but there are rumours of a Mac summer tour next year according to Brett and Taku.

I don't see it happening, either.
Somehow, this pairing would make everything seem all about nostalgia and the olden days. I think when you have more than one group, in particular, in a concert lineup--people are more or less expecting oldies only and nostalgia. I don't think that's what FM wants to do and I could see Lindsey (in particular, but hopefully Stevie as well. I think Mick and John might go with the flow) definitely being vocal about all their efforts to reinvent themselves and showing what they can do in THIS century.
I like the Eagles--but have they done real new material--as a group--as in a whole CD--any time in the recent past? (I have been so focused on FM--I've never even bothered to check;-)
I do know the Eagles charged a lot of money for their last tour (as did FM) and if I'm spending all that cash, I'd prefer to have my Fleetwood Mac undiluted

I would pay $995 for a lawn seat if ONLY Lindsey was to KO Don Henley on stage...That would be priceless.

I would sell myself on the street to see that!

J/K about the above but if it was guranteed then maybe....

I must be in the minority then. I would love to see FM and the Eagles together! Love them both! But then I was also happy to see Stevie in stage with Sheryl when I know plenty of fans weren't. I dread to think what the tickets would cost tho

I remember Linds commenting very briefly about this in some SYW promotion. He sounded less than enthused and spoke about it in what sounded like a sarcastic tone to me. He said something about "people" wanting them to tour with the Eagles, I got the impression he was talking about the white shirts at the label. I seriously doubt he would ever agree to it. In fact all their egos are so big, Henley's first and foremost, I just can't see any of them agreeing to it.

Yeah, but the majority of fans who bitched about Stevie and Sheryl did it for completely asinine and ridiculous reasons. They were just mad because Sheryl Crow was involved in Stevie's music and that it wasn't just Stevie 24/7. None of them even wanted to give her any credit for working wonders on Stevie's album. I shudder to think what it would have been like if the whole album was in the hands of John Shanks.

Yet they all rushed out to buy "C'mon C'mon" because Stevie was on the title song and was inaudible on Diamond Road.

I recall this as well. I think there's more of a chance of Lindsey's solo album actually coming out (Ha!) than an Eagles/Mac tour. I think Lindsey is cordial because he's older now but can you actually picture him having to deal with Henley on a daily basis? How would they agree on billing...would Fleetwood Mac be listed first...Eagles...how many songs would each group play...etc. Hell, Fleetwood Mac fought amongst themselves making SYW and i'm sure, touring as well. Can you imagine two bands bringing all of their issues together?

I can see us asking John this in the Q&A and him laughing his ass off at the prospect of them all being on stage together.

I certainly wouldn't pay to see that.

It strikes me as being a demeaning money making exercise.

Fleetwood Mac are better than that.
