best unreleased stevie track?

[Bella Figura]

my favs are always changing but here's a current list

Ooh Ooh Baby - the piano is haunting and I still haven't figured all the words out yet so it keeps me interested

any of the Smile At You Demos - currently it's the Rolling Stone demo and although I was never overly fond of That's Alright the RS demo is very good

Have No Heart - I used to be a big fan of Annabelle Lee, this one is now my current fav of the TISL outtakes and demos

Baby Doll Master - although this was later reworked into Bella Donna, I love this bluesy demo

Belle Fleur - a sentimental favorite. I had always heard of this demo but never got my hands on it until the Internet

Just bootlegs of the songs that were played during the RS photo shoot. Stevie sang along with the tracks. The quality is piss poor.

Thanks, Curtis!

Can you believe that I don't have the Rolling Stone photo-shoot footage?!?

[Bella Figura]

sound quality doesn't really faze me with demos but I hate bad sound quality on live performances...pretty wierd huh??

I'm a big fan of the piano demo for "Planets of the Universe," called, "No Light." I'd love to hear that that one could be officially released. I've also heard a really great "Gyspy" demo from '80 that's comparatively long and has some different vocals and lyrics, though the vocals are not as loud as they should be. Anyone else familiar with that? And "Something Exquisite" of course.

Hillary

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I haven't heard much of those.

I have a few favourites:

- Love Don't Fail Me Now
- Mistaken Love
- See The World Go By

[celestenadia]

"Mistaken Love" does kind of drag, but I LOVE it anyway.
The non-angry "Smile At You".

Space Needle........yup.........Space Needle........that's the one.

honerable mentions can go to the Sorcerer demo, Forest of the Black Roses and Maker of Birds (three birds of rhiannon).

[eclipse]

Call me crazy
but I like
Annabelle Lee (although I think it's FM and not just Stevie)
and I like
Forest of the black Roses too---great song if you are REALLY depressed and need something to remind you of how miserable... you could be....
Does anyone know, is Stevie playing the piano on that song?

(I think it is just Stevie, the piano and despair, recorded on that demo)
I still listen..
