I'm just curious. Besides (of course) Lindsey, who else uses no picks when playing guitars?
~~ Astonishingly, I did not know until this year that Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits was also a fingerpicking guitarist. ~~ OT P.S.: Interesting thing I wanted to point out- Lindsey and Mark were born both in 1949. So were Alan Parsons and Billy Joel. ![]()

Monte Montgomery - he's a local dude, not extremely well-known - but he idolizes LB! He plays original, roots rock type music - but he also does great covers of Dire Straits' Romeo and Juliet - and a couple Mac songs.

Quote:
Even from the celeb. guitarists, there are literally 1000s of people, most of whom are highly talented acoustic guitarists (including Lindsey.) The 3 most famous guitarists who play lead electric with no pick are probably the 2 you mentioned (LB & MK) and Jeff Beck. ![]() |
