I guess you're missing the point. I only mentioned becuase just last week he said, he wanted the top 3 to be SMAP, Storms, and Brown Eyes. Of course in reality this doesn't matter becasue NTF is gone, which I like equally to Brown Eyes, but my whole thing is that I was waiting to see if Dissention would vote for Brown Eyes, and he did. This has NOTHING to do with alternating between the writers.

But doesn't it have to do with him making his own choices?

Certainly. But I see where Hawkeye is coming from.
If I felt a song was worthy enough of being in the Top 3, then I don't think I'd turn around and vote against it (and in only the 4th or 5th round, no less), in favor of another song that I hadn't said should make it to the Top 3.

Three of Christine's songs are gone, and she only has three left. Stevie's lost one and has four left. Lindsey's lost two, and still has seven left.
Yet, people seem to be picking off songs they claim to like, in order to save L.B.'s tracks.
I guess to "raise his appreciation" and all, as someone told Lux.

There is mischief afoot, and, as I said before, Christine's biggest supporters should be pretty peeved right now.

Myself, I'm just trying to vote for the songs as they're ranked in my head.
And since "Save Me A Place" is protected again this round (by the way, you're off the Christmas list, Jason ), then my vote goes to...

(brace yourselves)

"Angel."

Well, you know what? I AM one of Christine's biggest supporters, and....., well....., it's JUST a game. Duh. People are taking this sh*t TOO seriously. Sure I'd like to see Think About Me win this, but, I won't lose one seconds sleep over a Lindsey song winning.

Now, if a Stevie song wins, THAT's another matter!

To quote you, "duh!"
It's a game... a fun game. But it can also be a bit of competition, too, as everyone is pushing for their personal favorite song to win.
And I don't know that any competition can exist without some level of seriousness involved.

I was all for "The Chain" winning 'Rumours,' and I was all for "Little Lies" winning 'Tango'... so it was great seeing those songs hold their own through to the end. (It's been so long that I can't remember which song won 'Say You Will'... I know it was a Stevie tune though. Was it "Illume"?)

The song I felt should've won 'Tusk' ("Sara") is now long gone though, so from this point out I'm sort of watching the game with a bit of bemusement.
I'll either agree wholeheartedly with whichever song wins (and yes, I'd still be completely happy with it if it turned out to be a Lindsey song, so long as that song isn't "Save Me A Place"), or I'll roll my eyes at the winner (see my previous parenthetical comment).

Though it would be kind of nice if people would allow the game to progress naturally, without trying to gang-up to protect certain songs or certain member's contributions. That implies a lack of faith in the strength of the songs themselves.

Ah well!

Yeah, I have noticed an acute disdain for Stevie that you don't even bother to disguise.
Seems a bit irrational to me, but, hey, the world keeps on turning anyway!

My undisguised disdain - honestly- has more to do with the perceived rabidness of the Chiffonese Clan. , than with my appreciation of Stevie. Their panties DO seem to get in a bunch without much effort. , thus making it all worthwhile.

Well, who wants to get picked on all the time? Even if you're not ultra-sensitive, it would still get old after a while, wouldn't you think?

But really, they're no more rabid or sensitive than any group of fans (and that definitely includes Lindsey's )... they're just a more visible target within the Mac fan community because of their numbers.

We all know who the best member of Fleetwood Mac is (ie: whichever member is our personal fave), so I think it's time to end all the fussin' and-a feudin.'

Yeah, that threw me off. Welp, SMAP was indeed voted immune. I still stand by my vote though. I thought one of the reasons for immunity was to save the song you want to win, not a song you like and maybe hope is in the top ten? Oh well.

SMAP is my second fav. on Tusk, so . . . . Sara is my fav. - but you people went hog wild with that one

From there it gets a little murkier. I LOVE You'll Never Make ME Cry ( ) and Think About Me. But, I also love IKINW, Tusk, and BC (her voice and those words and CM's harmony - SHEEBUS). So we shall see how it all pans out and what groups within groups making plans within plans (oooo slight Dune reference ) win out in the end!!!!!

Its all good fun to me!!!!
