I'd rather have Teresa than any of them.

Do youhonestly believe that America did not clandestinely have special ops toops in Iraq after 98 to help implement the regime change plan and to spy on SH

Again, I agree the regime change policy in the Clinton Admininstration was different than the one W implemented after 9/11. All I am saying I agree with Clinton's statment that SH was too big of a risk to let stay in power unless he fully complied with UN Res. 1441 after 9/11 for the reasons set forth above. I think Clinton's bombing of Iraq in 98 and his enforcement of the no fly zones (all with quasi UN approval) show Clinton was not hesitant to take military action against SH. I am unsure why you think that does not support Clinton's post-office and current statements that he would have done do again, esp. after 9/11

Hey, you said it, not me. It's on this board in black and white! After you made the ridiculous statement and I reacted with shock, you tried to clean it up by saying that Iraq did attack us when they attacked Kuwait. That's when you totally lost me in our political debates and I've still yet to recover!!!!

This is a witch hunt and it makes me want to vomit. Never in my life have I seen anything more vile in a campaign.
Yep - they are swine. This is just what they did to Max Cleland. I makes me sick to my stomach. I mean to assert that three Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star, and a Silver Star could all be obtained with sheer and open fabrication is just insane. Yet, I know people who think it - Sick just sick.

As I said then and as I say now, when I initially said it, I meant Iraq attacked our ally Kuwait, which was the same thing as attacking us. I never meant to say Iraq attacked the continental US and you know it. Is that too much for you to grasp? Moreover, is no one allowed to clarify anything when asked to? You certainly have - we all have Yet, I do not throw your unclarified words out as if they were all you said But, when you have no real fact based argument to assert - I guess half truths and incorrect statements are all you have

P.S. Please explain to me how attacking an American ally is not considered the same as attacking us? Thus, my initial statement in its intent is true. Even Goldie apparently conceded that when she responded "no hiding the ball"

I think it's quite a leap to say that if, say, Britain or another ally were attacked by Iraq, we were also attacked...which is what you essentially said.

I never thought of it that way, either!

Have you seen/heard the ad? The first time I heard it, my gagging reflexes kicked in and I saw red.

Britian and Kuwait are both our allies are they not. I am pretty sure the Geneva Convention allows allied reaction in that circumstance.

Yes, they are, and yes, it does. I agree with you in that regard. But to say that we were also attacked is a stretch and requires a suspension of belief, IMO.

I have reached my satuaration point with ads. When they come on, I tend to change the channel.

Unfortunately, there is one in Ga right now (we have the run off elections today) for, I think a US Rep seat, where the guy says not one thing about policy, platform, etc. All he says is I have been faithfully married for 17 years and have children that are strong in their faith. I will put MY faith first when I am in office. Sadly, he will probably win and when he gets there, only the Baptist faith will matter when he votes, the Const, will mean nothing to him.

Sounds like a Shrubya ad. It says nothing about his record or anything, it's just a puff job.

Well, America was essentially attacked in the sense that an attack on an ally is considered an attack on all allied with that ally - it is as if Iraq invaded us when they invaded Kuwait. I never meant it as Iraq attacked the continental US or any of the US holdings around the world. I thought that was clear when I made the statement. When people questioned me, I explained what I meant and my explanation is correct. But, if you want to keep asserting I somehow said that Iraq attacked the continental US or any of the US holdings around the world - go right on ahead. But, your assetion is wrong. I never said that - period. If I did - show it to me.

He is not the only one. There are many fundamentalist Christians running on this platform. They want everyone to be forced to believe what they do, even though all of them do not believe in exactly the same things
