I have one, spoiled rotten, very large (he's big-boned!), 12-pound brown, gray and white tabby named Cage. As in Shake the Cage. I didn't name him, a friend of mine did, and it just stuck. I rescued him from a life of poverty on the mean streets of Port Aransas, Texas when I was there for a weekend in 1992, and he was a 5-month old kitten.
I grew up w/ a dog, a beagle, and never thought of myself as a cat person - but sometimes pets choose their owners, and that's definitely what happened...I was staying in a beach condo w/ several people. The Zoo album was being played non-stop - the theme song of the weekend was "Shake the Cage." This kitten was hanging around the complex, didn't seem to belong to anyone. We brought home some fresh shrimp, and he followed the scent up 3 flights of stairs. We let him in for dinner, gave him some shrimp, and he slept on my pillow, right above my head, all night. And he's never done that since...isn't that weird? Anyway, 12 years later, and he's still "my baby." I've got a cute pic of him at work...I'll scan it when I get a chance...

Please do post a pic, I love to see people's "babies". And I was never a huge cat person, either. But a certain litter of kittens found me and changed my life. Funny how that happens.
