Question Did Stevie sing on a Van Halen song???

I was listening to a Van Halen bootleg I received tonite, When during an interview about the track "Could This Be Magic" from 1980's "Women And Children First" album David Lee Roth said the following:

"And There's a female voice, Ummm one line of the song right after the solo and it goes "And she says 'Could this be magic'...I'm ain't going to tell ya who it is ya gotta listen for it, but she was hanging out in the studio and uh I said come in and sing a line ya aint gettin' no credit..."

The female voice sounds like Stevie to me, I never paid attention that much til I listened to this bootleg where the female voice sounds like the same vocal performance that was 1979-1980 era Stevie...I wonder if it could be? Both Van Halen & FM recorded albums in LA during 1979 so who knows, But Dave is very coy about who the female voice is.

Well, we know she performed with Eddy & the Zoo (was it New Years '88?) and had a lot of praise for Eddy.

Plus, there's a picture floating around of Stevie (circa 1981) at some sort of party or function (maybe it was in a studio), conversing with Eddy & Valerie Bertinelli. What year did Eddy & Valerie hook up?

Interesting, Brian! Can someone post that portion somewhere?

I know Valerie was still on 'One Day At A Time' when her and Eddie hooked up... and that series lasted until about '82, I think.

I'll see what I can find out.

I'd love to hear this clip, too.

Valerie and Eddie met in August of 1980, and were married the next April.
