I went to the equestrian events in Altanta but Princess Anne was not competing. Did she compete in the LA Olympics? I can't remember.

I forget which event it was, but somewhere I have a picture of her in it - I want to say it was jumping. I am unsure if she competed in LA.

What does an actor do for the olympics during the opening and closing ceremonies? I don't understand.

In Atlanta, over 1,000 people performed in the Opening Ceremony. The Closing Ceremony had fewer. Watch when the Athens games open. You will see what I mean.

No - I was not. I did a bunch of things, esp. in rehearsal, which took every weekend for like four months and WITHOUT pay In the end, I opted to be an audience leader because of rehearsal scheduling problems. I had a blast. I met Gladys Knight (a total doll) - Gloria Estefan (FABULOUS) and a few others. I would not change it for the world.

Gladys does seem cool. I still remember her at the spa with Florence on The Jeffersons.
BTW, Gladys AND Gloria were with you? Were you recruiting them for their American Idol appearances?

Default yes but.........

I'm looking forward to it but I honesty don't think it was worth the lives of (officially 14 but unofficially many more) workers building the Olympic stadium and village in Athens.. Seems health and safety laws don't exist on Greek building sites.

I'm also not looking forward to the prospect of Great Britain getting no athletics gold medals this time. Seems the sport is suffering from a lack of government funding over the past decade and its catching up now.

Still heres to a great sporting spectacle..

Hey, will Henman be playing Olympic tennis? That's always a possibility of a gold.

It's a possibility so maybe its a chance, I think the GB squads best hopes are in the water events, rowing and sailing etc.. Seems we are ok in the wet stuff but get beached on the land...

No - I saw Glady Knight in the tunnel underneath the field. She was there to do here rehearsal and I was carry some stuff and stopped to rest. She was incredibly nice to me. I saw Gloria in the 100 degree heat when she was standing on a float. She asked for water and no one could find any. So, I through her a bottle I had in my stuff. She was chatty and just very cool.

Since when do you have a bottle of water. Come on, what was really in there?

Pretty cool! I heard yesterday where her daughter, Zara (no prince or princess titles for Anne's kids) fell off a horse and was knocked unconscious over the weekend! I remember the same thing happening to Princess Anne when she competed in the Olympics!
