Unfortunately those "real liberals" will be cutting their noses off to spite their faces then, and will be ensuring that Bush will have another 4 years in the White House, further eroding our civil rights, our economy, our environment, our educational system, and our international relations.

I don't think so. The reason Obama spoke was to get the national attention for being presidential material. After he serves a term in the senate, he'll run. But - he might run as VP on Ford's ticket.
