Default Giddy as a schoolgirl....

Ok, I just have to share this incredibly good news. First of all, I knew there was a reason I was holding out for the three re-released CDs. Anyway, while on vacation in LA last week, I had a romantic trist with a gentleman friend who mentioned that he worked for Reprise Records, which is the arm of Warner Music that does reissues. So I asked if he had done the FM reissues, and he said he had. And of course I mentioned that I've been dying to get them. Well I'll be darned if all three of them showed up in my mailbox today! I'm so excited to have all three, and I can't wait to hear them all!

Cute story... and congratulations!

Please be sure to put in a good word to your friend about remastering & expanding 'Mirage' and 'Tango In The Night' as soon as possible!

Trust me, Gaius, I'm chomping at the bit for all of those albums, too... but since David McLees had previously said that they planned on remastering the Buckingham & Nicks-era albums first, I figure the sooner they release 'Mirage' & 'Tango,' the better!

Actually, I'm hoping the next wave of remasters also includes 'Live,' but the studio albums are my first priority.

They'd easily get two cds filled to the brim with highlights from 1975-80. "Station Man", "Hypnotized", "Why", "Oh Daddy", "Gold Dust Woman", "Songbird" (with both Lindsey and John), "The Chain", "What Makes You Think You're The One", "Tusk", "That's Enough For Me", "Angel", "Think About Me" and of course "Sisters Of The Moon" come to mind right now. Caillat and Dashut may not have taped every show, but I'm willing to bet they taped an overwhelming majority of them. Who knows, they might still have a great soundboard recording of "Frozen Love" somewhere, which would naturally be preferable to these two poor quality recordings that we have of it.

Oh yeah, and of course it would be interesting to see if the band will go in and overdub some stuff on the additional tracks years after they were first played.

Wow, you're so lucky you had a tryst! seriously, that's a good story. I won my 3 disk re-issue off the radio, along with tickets (lawn, which i sold), that was awesome, too. No tryst, though. I've been in love with the Tusk second disk for three months, and this weekend I fell in love with the Rumours second disk, so i know you will be stoked. congrats!

And you'll stand out, Livia. I'm sure not many of the women down there are in Stevie concert tees.
