Lori and Co. are more of a hindrance than a help on many of her solo albums. They overpower Stevie a lot and their vocals are usually a bit cloying.

Nope. It's Sharon.

Definitely not Waddy, he can't sing like that.

All my copies of the studio version are in my car.
I bet Johnny Stew knows. Help.

It is SO Don Henley.

I'm telling you, I remember her saying it's a guy. And I don't think it was the Klonopin talking.

I don't have superhuman hearing - but I would know that lech and his voice anywhere. I also seem to recall her saying he just walked in when they were recording and added it in one take. Sparky ain't on the crack pipe.

I'll have to listen to it again. From what I remember, it does sound a bit like him, so it's possible, but I remember her crediting someone else in that damned interview. Wish I could remember. And pass the crack pipe.

I remember hearing it the first time....good GOD, 21 years ago. And I remember thinking ,"I'll be damned, there's that Don Henley again. Cool."

Of course, in those days, I didn't think of him as a hooker addict with a bad henna job..

But, I just listened to it twice, and I haven't pulled it out in ages (The Wild Heart, Jake, get your mind outta the gutter). I remain convinced. It was nice to hear "Sable On Blonde" again.

Technology is so great. I can email you in Houston, listen to Stevie, and tape Law and Order so I can watch my latest hetero crush, Angie Harmon. All at the same time ? Ain't life grand ?

BTW - on my cd, the damned thing cuts off the first half note of the Wild Heart. Forgot about that.

You need to listen to that CD more often. TWH is great!

Angie Harmon. Gee, her career never took off after Baywatch Nights, did it.
Actually I liked her years ago but was surprised to discover how young she was. I thought she was about my age. She seems so much older. Not just the voice, but the looks too.

I just listened to it 3 times. The part that you're speaking of occurs at 1:58 and it sounds like Sharon to me. If you've ever heard any of her backup demos, this sounds similar. It's the same voice saying, "I HOPE YOU MAKE IT!"

Sharon on male growth hormone, perhaps.
Actually, I listened to it in the car earlier today & can see how someone could think it's Sharon, but I know what I heard Stevie say. Other than the name. Shame we can't go to the long-ignored Ask Stevie section at the Nicksfix.

Evidently, she quit L & O to hang with her husband who is some football player. I haven't seen her in ages, and have never heard of Baywatch Nights. She may look a little rough from the, um, substances she is reputed to enjoy. Let's just say she and Stevie could have had a blast backstage on TWH tour.
On L & O though, she is hella sexy, I mean, for a woman That voice !

The voice doesn't do it for me. I picture her at eighty sounding like one of my grandmother's friends. "You call this a bagel?"
Baywatch Nights was a terrible, cheesey Baywatch spin-off starring her and David Hasselhoff as Scully & Mulder wanna-bes, believe it or not. For some reason it got cancelled from syndication.
Her husband proposed to her on The Tonight Show, I believe.
