Question Thank You on 'Rumours'

Hey,

First off, I just wanted to say 'hi' since I'm new here. I've been wondering about this for a while, and for some reason, today decided to look into it. I know it's been mentioned several times before that FM thanked their drug dealer on Rumours. And I was always wondering how they actually did it. Was it an obvious reference or did they use an inside joke that eventually just got revealed in subsequent interviews?? Of course, I *COULD* look at my copy of the CD or vinyl if I didn't leave them down at school for the summer... . So, I was just curious as to what it said in the liner notes and/or how it was eventually revealed, although given the time, I don't know if I'd put it past the band to just say "Thanks to Big J for the 4 straight sleepless nights and Stevie's new and improved fairy dust."

Thanks so much!!

Welcome to the Ledge, Brad... glad to have you on board.

If I recall correctly, the band only considered thanking their dealer in the liner notes to 'Rumours,' but didn't end up doing it.
Again, if I recall correctly, I believe Mick mentions in his autobiography, that the guy was actually killed before it came time to write the 'Rumours' "thank yous" anyway.

Yeah, Mick wrote that their drug dealer (I'm sure he wasn't their only one tho) had been killed just before they finished Rumours, and so they didn't put his name down in the credits. Would have been funny if they did though.

BTW - Welcome to The Ledge!

Good to know. I always though Larry Comara for his Fat Boxes refered to drugs...but I'm sure you all know what that really means.

Then who the he** was "Madame Wong"?? I always suspected that was some kind of pseudonym for drugs.

Welcome, Brad.

And I assume Mme. Wong is Judy.
