This may help you. These lyrics interpretations are awesome!

Sara: http://www.fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/...ons/s/sara.htm

Beautiful Child: http://www.fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/...tifulchild.htm

Also, check out BuckinghamNicks.net for lyric interpretations from listeners for both songs. It's really interesting what people pick out.

Also, check out this site: http://www.inherownwords.com/index.htm

By the way...Stevie's Sara has no H...yeah I'm bitter too. It would be cool if my favorite song in the world was also my name. But hey...it's close.

As for my personal opinion, I think both Sara and Beautiful Child are about Lindsey, Mick, Don Henley, Stevie's abortion, and her life in general at the time.

I agree... it's so hard to pinpoint Stevie's songs as being about any one thing, because she pulls passages and lines from various pages of her journals.

So any given song could be (and most likely is) about several things/people.

I know she has said that she writes like that now (pulling various passages from places), but did she write that way back then? I mean, she explains in the Rhiannon video that she "sat down and dit dit dit wrote Rhiannon." And didn't she say she wrote Dreams while hanging out in the studio rooms while working on Rumours?

Any thoughts on this?

I just think it's pretty hard, especially with Sara, to pinpoint one topic that she is talking about.

I have no clue how long it took her write the original *drool* 16 minute version of this song. She says she wrote it by herself on the piano. See, if I ever met her, I'd be like "Tell me everything about Sara!!!!!!" and I wouldn't let her get away with "Sara is about my life..." BE SPECIFIC!!!

LOL. Maybe it's better to enjoy the mystery. The song can apply to me in so many different ways and stages in my life. I think that's when music achieves true success - when it can apply to millions of different people and mean millions of different things.

Best song ever!!!

Well, Sara is definitely a song that she said she tied together several people & stories in. Same with TISL.
