Default Hershey Review

Back from Hershey - great show, weird crowd. Some fans really, really great (many Ledgies & people from other boards at this one, tons of repeat concert go-ers, Lindsey was loving it), some not great (thieves, drunks & stupid people in general.)

Anyway, the band was tight, no problems at all that I noticed. I was stunned by how good Sara was (I've always said I don't like it much live, but after last night, I'm changing that stance.) IKINW was so much fun, better that EOTW, IMO. Red Rover is just haunting, it's really great. Purposely haven't listened to any of the new boots so I could see these songs myself, totally worth the wait. The higher key on SYW was a nice surprise. ISA & Come better (some parts a little different) than I remembered from past shows. Stevie highlights were definitely Rhiannon, GDW & Stand Back - lots of energy, lots of twirls, strong clear vocals all night. I hope someone recorded this show!

One bad thing about Hershey is the stage was literally 8 feet off the ground - there was still crowd interaction with the band (well, OK, Lindsey) but it was harder than other shows & there was lost of arms stretching & stiff necks from looking straight up at the stage (btw, only front row was allowed up to the stage, but I think some people made it up from the side sections.)

I have to add this - Mick's incoherent speech was so gross. I literally cringe when I see the saliva spew from his mouth under the lights - eewwww. Anyway, he was rambling about "hanky panky" & "there's no one in the house but us" blah blah blah. So I swear I hear him yell something about a hot tub being so hot, or something like that. Instantly, my mind thinks of Eddie Murphy doing James Brown on Saturday Night Live in the early 80's singing about "hot tub, so hot, gonna get in the hot tub, ooooowwwww!" I begin to laugh out loud (like, really loud) during his solo, so I have to stop myself & bring it down to a giggle so everyone around me doesn't think I'm completely nuts.

In general, a great show, so big surprises but definitely no disappointments either. My last show this tour, what a blast this past year has been.

Kelly & Marissa, great to meet you guys! Sorry it wasn't under the greatest circumstances (they can fill you guys in on that one if they want to.)

Paula

PS - I almost forgot - Taku rocks! I really noticed him last night, especially on Stand Back & Say Goodbye. That guy is phenomenal.

I'm impressed you could tell what he was saying. Aside from "Are you with me?!" I couldn't understand a thing!

But ITA with you. It was a fabulous show. The crowd around me was a bit subdued. They'd stand, but barely moved once they did. And I was so far back I couldn't see squat. A little disappointing, esp since I had 4th row tkts pretty much in my hands and lost them. But it was still a great night. Any idea what the necklace was that someone handed Lindsey? And correct me if I'm wrong, did I see a giant Hershey Kiss get thrown up on stage?

Fantastic Show! I had seats in the 7th row. The people around me were great. My tickets also included a VIP pass so we got to look around a bit before the show.(my bro's friend knows Chris Nicks) I hope the next tour isn't in another 5 years!!! Rock on Fleetwood Mac!

Default thank you

Thank you Paula! It was great meeting you as well. Guess what? Lost and found had it, with EVERYTHING in it. So that was a nice surprise for me at 7:00 am Sunday morning.

The concert was rocking but the crowd was sort of sedate. The stage was way way too high and really prevented much band interaction. The show was fantastic anyway and the whole band was in top form. Stevie especially, she even adlibbed a bit on Rhiannon and we had a few "silly".."silly" sillies repeated over and over. It was amazing. GDW had a howl from years gone bye, it gave me chills and was the best "go hooooooooommmmmmmmmmmeeeommmmmmmmmmme" I have ever witnessed live.

Thanks to all of you for your help and support at a time in need. You guys are all so fantastic to fellow fans!! Especially Joy, you rock girl and I owe you.

That was me. I had gotten a stained Glass Half Moon from Jan of DestinyGalleria.com. In Jones Beach, Lindsey actually lowered his head for me to put it on him, and it got stuck around his ears, so he tugged it to put it down where it belonged and the darn thing broke. So in Hershey, I passed it to my friend ( I am only 5'1 and the stage was about 8 feet high) and he was able to get it to Lindsey. At the end of the show, I got Lindsey's attention and was pointing to 4 little girls that were in front of me (the 8 foot stage blocked the view) so he leaned over and blew them kisses and waved, it was sweet, the children were very excited about that they were about between the ages of 7-12. I was a Proud Mac fan at that moment! The little girls were delighted!

Paula, glad you made it back to Buffalo safely. It was great to meet you!! Yea, Mick's incoherent ramblings....

Jill, the kids were cute. I'm glad you were able to get Lindsey's attention so they could give a wave

Well, dear, you will be THRILLED to know that I have a pic of LB holding up your necklace! Pretty blurry, but better than nothing, right? I am in the process of editing my pics, hope to have them up in a day or two.

I can't wait to see your pics Paula! I saw that whole Lindsey necklace thing. It really was a pretty necklace, I think it had a blue ribbon or something?
