Refund/Hershey question/problem

According to Ticketmaster, "In the event of a cancellation or rescheduling of the applicable event, mgt shall not be required to issue a refund provided that you are given the right, within 12 months of the date of the orig. event to attend a rescheduled performance of the same event, or to exchange," etc.

My problem may be this: My sister-in-law is supposed to go with me to the show tomorrow, but her 10 month old is sick. She isn't sure if she'll be able to go or not, and won't know until tomorrow when she sees how her daughter is doing. I don't know anyone who would want to buy her ticket. My non-fan husband wants me to try to get us refunds, but obviously I still plan to go. But what do you think my SIL's chances are of getting a refund?

It should be okay, just say your sister would have been able to make it to the original show, but because it was rescheduled she can't go anymore. When an event is rescheduled TM is usually pretty cool about it.

Ask to be put through to a supervisor. If you paid by credit card tell them you are prepared to dispute the charge and you know your credit card company will stand behind you. My bet is, if you get the right supervisor, they'll do it. Don't wait till the last minute, cancel early tomorrow so they have a chance to resell your ticket. They just void the bar code on your ticket in their system and put it back into their system...so don't let them tell you there's no time to do it. You might have to mail back the original ticket as a formality.

Thanks for the advice, guys. My niece is sick, some kind of throat virus, so I'll be calling for a refund in the AM. My jerk husband still won't go with me, and I don't want to go alone, so......
I'm still going to try a friend or two in the morning first, though....
