Default Favorite Classic TV Shows

What are your favorite shows of thirty or more years ago?

My favorite would probably be All In The Family, followed by I Love Lucy.

While not favorites, I have soft spots for The Brady Bunch (as a show in which I know every line by heart) and for Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp (which made me laugh when I saw it on Nick At Nite many years ago).

All in the Family, I lLove Lucy, I Dream of Jeanie, MASH, and Mary Tyler More. are all favorites from 30 years ago or more.

Not so much a favorite now, but one I loved from my childhood was The Munsters. I just loved hearing that theme song as a kid. I was Herman Munster for Halloween one year. I was 5 years old and all the old ladies giving me candy said oh look at frankenstein. in my best Stevie nicks imprssion, "well no I wasn't frankenstein I was herman munster danm it"

Arrow Faves...

The Monkees!!

I've been watching Thunderbirds on Tech TV and it's quite interesting. They even give little tidbits at the bottom of the screen about the show.

I grew up on Green Acres, I Dream of Jeannie, Mr. Ed, All in the Family, etc., but don't watch them much anymore.

I grew up watching I Love Lucy. In fact, I had a friend who was a huge fan also.

We would talk endlessly about the show, especially around the reruns where Lucy was going to have Ricky Jr.

My number one choice is definitely I Love Lucy. Nothing even comes close for me. Other choices are Bewitched, Mary Tyler Moore, and Brady Bunch.

Half the people I know Love MASH, but I never got too into it. I've seen only some MTM episodes but like it. Barbara Eden's voice annoyed the crap out of me when I was little, so I've seen only a few IDOJs.
I used to love when Marilyn Munster felt like she was the ugly one.

I have no memory of watching Green Acres, but my mom says that as a baby I would cry if it wasn't on. The days before DVDs.

And BTW, I despised this show when I was little. Every summer they would yank the Brady Bunch (AKA "My Favorite Marcia") for these four buffoons. They just never made me laugh, and I guess they lacked the same comic subtlety of the Brady cast.

Was your friend's name Deanna?

What was your favorite episode?

I never saw why people thought Elizabeth Montgomery was such a talent until I saw her play Lizzie Borden in a telemovie. It's a shame Elizabeth died so young.

The Andy Griffith Show. (only when Don Knotts was on. The "Warren" years sucked.)

Believe it or not, I've never seen it, though of course I know the theme song.

I'm a classic TV junkie... and although some of these are newer classics, I'm still listing them!

The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy, The Bob Newhart Show, Bewitched, The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, Three's Company, One Day At A Time, Alice, Soap, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Wonder Woman, M*A*S*H, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Charlie's Angels, The Simpsons, Cheers, and others that I'm sure I'm forgetting.
