And I had to leave so many others off because of Jake's dang rules!

Johnny. you have my support on WISYA, but I still don't get very into Fall From Grace or Love Is.

My top four are always interchangable depending on my mood. Today I am enamoured with BC after hearing her stellar live performance of this song in Jones Beach.

Blue Denim has good lyrics, and Beautiful Child is GREAT live.

I like Rose Garden and am never disappointed when Stevie reaches back to record older songs.
Did Stevie write the lyrics to Smiling Islands? They don't really sound like her. I'm too lazy to check.

20. Street Angel

Ok, Bella Donna probably would've been higher if it not for the word "phony". That one word really irritates me in this song. And I know "Street angels live on the street and they always will" is pretty stupid, but I love the "So I ended it..." verse. I'm sure some of my other choices will have some people scratching their heads, but each of these songs has something about it I really love.

Nick

I love the phoney line in BD.
And I love the lyrics to Freedom, WTTRS, Fire Burning, and Sable On Blonde.

My fave lyrics are those for The Nightmare. I can't imagine why it isn't on more lists of favorites!

Hey, I have it on mine! But I know that there are folks who don't care for it. No doubt Stevie was in her RAL-lifestyle excesses during the writing.

The whole song is about rehab and the "tar people" are heroin addicts who return to rehab once more.
