I agree Alex. It was a dirty thing to do! I would NOT be happy at all if I was going to Pittsburgh. I really can't believe that they just could not swing back in July and hit Bristow and Scranton. Nobody knows if Camden is going on as scheduled on Thursday. I have a lot of plans to change if it's not.
I wonder if that show will be postponed?

More stress caused by this band yet again.

Well possibly since they have 3 shows in PA pretty close together in time, they figured cancelling one would be a better idea than rescheduling Scranton at the end of the tour, when they wont even be in that area at all..

I have so many emotions now.

I am bummed for those of you who had Pittsburgh tix.

I am happy because I have Scranton tix.

Strange how they are saying Scranton was one of the best-selling stops of the tour. I never would have thought this about this industrial town in PA.

Goldie, has FM played in your area recently? Maybe if this is the first time they've been there in a long while, that may explain the good ticket sales. I know that FM has come to Pittsburgh for every tour (at least since I became a fan 17 years ago).

Oh well.

Enjoy your show, though -- and please give us a review!

Default It's official - Pittsburgh June 10th Cancelled

I'm sure the band would play all the dates they initially committed to... If they could. There's probably alot of things involved especially with the venues, it being Summer... Some of these places are probably booked every day with something or another.

Plus it is a business - And I'm pretty sure it's the promoter that decides which shows are going to be played at a later date based on the amount they can make off it and whether or not the band is available... Sure the band has a say in it... But I'm sure the promoter fronting the whole operation has a bigger say.

Not sure if a promoter actually looks at the fans missing out first... then thinks of the cash [Can't see them doing that] But I'm sure at this point the band thinks of the fans!... Then the tickets sold!

I've only ever seen them in NY or NJ, I've never been to a PA area show, so I haven't really paid attention to their PA dates before. It's just that now Scranton is easy for me to get to because I live in a different part of NY than I used to. I do remember for some reason, however, that Stevie solo tours usually open in Pittsburgh.

There is also the problems of trying to reschedule the dates and turn a huge crew around on a dime. Stevie's sick, the band wants to keep as many dates as possible. It's not easy to rearrange everything in an instant. You're also right about the promoter, it's up to them and the band only has so much say in this. Everyone involved wants them to be able to not miss any dates and play out the full tour.

I live about 1-1/2 hours away from Scranton, in NY. It's so super easy for me to get to. There's no NYC or NJ crazy traffic and tolls to deal with. I take route 84 (which is five minutes from my apartment) and you're there in less about an hour and a half. You don't go through any cities until you get to Scranton.

Anyway, the last time FM (or Stevie) played Scranton was back in 1995. I actually went. I took a friend who just started liking them and had never seen them before. I was weary about going. But i didn't want to rain on her parade. She was so psyched when Mick and John came out. I was like, "yeah, been there...did it....done it." Meanwhile, i was completely bummed that Stevie, Lindsey and Chris were gone. And to top it all off, the new band was doing a lot of their songs which really made matters worse for me. A good time was not had by all. My friend enjoyed it, but i could not conceal my feelings and it was obvious. Needless to say, we didn't speak for the whole ride home. It wasn't me, but she just got really pissed that i didn't enjoy the show. She just couldn't understand why.

Years later when the Dance came around and we saw them, she finally understood why i was so miserable at that previous concert. I think she forgives me now.

Alright, anyway, sorry for the tangent. So, that was the last time FM came around to that town. They didn't play there on the Dance because i would have gone.

Well, that explains it.

My goodness! 1995, and without Stevie, Lindsey or Christine. No wonder this current stop has sold well.

(Now back to my scheming to go to the Cleveland show...poor little pitiful Pittsburgher that I am... ) ha ha

Default This sux!!

I am sooo upset about my show being cancelled. I could see if they cancelled Pittsburgh due to Stevie being sick because that makes sense but not because they had to fit the Scranton show in. I dont want them to cancel Scranton, they just need to make up the date in between the pittsburgh show.

I really want to go to the cleveland show but I would have to take Monday off of work because it would be too late to go to work after I get home. I allready had Friday scheduled off after the Pittsburgh show. I got my pitt seats from a broker so I hope they refund my money so that I can buy Cleveland seats. I saw TM had section 12 or 14 row N which is pretty good but I will keep checking to see if they have something better. I am hesitant to buy Cleveland seats though because you never know if that one will get cancelled too!!!

I am going to cry now!

I kid you not--My 3rd row Pittsburgh seats just came today!!! This really sucks. I do have Cleveland tickets for the 13th, but it seems like every date on this tour is now in question.

Hey joe, I also live the same distance from Scranton, but north of Scranton, in NY...straight up Route 81. Very easy to get to. I used to live near where you are coming from - in the Hudson Valley.

I don't think I've written the word "Scranton" as many times as I have today.

Sorry to hear this.
I am feeling relieved that I've held off getting any TX tickets on this leg.
