I second the evisceration (disemboweling, I'm pretty sure). J/k. But yeah.. the bootlegs don't do Lindsey's vocals justice. But I do wonder if he'll lose his voice altogether one day. Don't know how he does it. Must have a method. I hope.

If they were smart, they would've gone for EOTW or Come. Even Stand Back would've been quite the rousing video. But why the hell did they pick Landslide?! Ugh. Talk about overplayed and tired. Why don't they want to release something that will make people take notice of them? Landslide ain't the one to do it.

I love Landslide. It's a great song. But not the one they should release as a video. Too bad they weren't doing IKINW when the DVD was being taped. That was great live!

Just as they did for Stevie.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander, and Stevie isn't exempt from contributing some horrific vocals to this tour. They've both had some cringe-worthy moments.

Well after hearing the BN live bootlegs and comparing them or later FM things to the SYW bootlegs we heard I have to say- his voice isn`t that energetic and broad ranged nowadays and he often sounds off. I didn`t notice on the show I attended in Oberhausen where he did fine but the bootlegs make me shudder sometimes. Remember the Today show thing f.e. or the Here comes the sun desaster. He should pick the songs that fit his voice nowadays and get rid of those who don`t- no matter if the Rumours and CO audience wants it or not.

The release of Landslide is in fact ridiculous and fits into the whole Rumours revival band thing that is going on with FM. Lindsey should walk out of that situation and focus on his newer work. Come f.e. was one highlight of the show as was WTWCT.
As for the DVD (which I am looking forward to in memory of my first LB live experience) once again Gerald and the others: I am sure the cover art will be different. It was just a substitute for the real one that they did not have at that point. Some probationer tried to reinforce his faith in... Photoshop.

He did the song on a tribute show for George Harrison if I remember right. That was 2001 or so- I don`t remember exactly. He did it with his fingerpicking style but the singing sounded really off. The worst thing was the last part where he tried to hit the high notes but didn`t succeed. Of course the MP3 is crappy but I am sure that can`t be the only reason. It made me shudder as I heard it.

That description makes it sound like it was a work of art. It was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. Then Stevie came along a year later and did Sorcerer at the RMAs at that was almost as torturous.

Yes and wasn`t there a story behind that? The guitar throwing rumour... Anyone who heard the rehearsal would have told him to quit playing on the tribute show

Lux, It is a really fantastic weird and risky take on Here comes the sun. It borders on bearable. I love it. He really strains everything he has and it comes out as one of the most emotional things he ever sang. He's not off, he's pushing it over every limit. With the risk that even his biggest fans are cringing (like diss and stef). Me adores it. It's buckingham doing a classic as a buckingham that just searches how far he can go with his solo-biglove-goinsane-approach. Maybe he fell off the Ledge. I think he didn't.
