NICE!! Thanks. Sounds great. Well then, who is it singing the third part (highest one) on Rhiannon?? It sounds like Chris.

These were the Christine-Danny-Jeremy band, the Christine-Danny-Bob band, and Buckingham Nicks. Now, in the last year, live recordings have surfaced

So, my big question is why now? Where have these recordings been for the last 30+ years, and why are they now just seeing the light of day?
Stick around, Steve. There's a LOT surfacing in recent years & things will keep surfacing. We're all going to benefit. And never say never. It's been a shockeroo lately.

Oddly enough, very little of this has had (or will have) anything to do with the record companies! Once again -- as has been proven countless times -- the fans bring home the bacon, while the Warner Brothers execs stand around dumbly, wondering how the hell it all happens.

Those of you going to see Fleetwood in the next few weeks, put this on your T-shirts:

Either YOU open the vaults, or WE'LL open 'em for you

Didn't Hoppy Hodges say there was Buckingham Nicks live material recorded professionally that he wanted to see released some day?

And Pacheco said the same thing about Fritz. I betcha we'll get some live professional Fritz before too long -- unless someone's hanging on to it in order to cut a deal with a record label. That's the kiss of death for this stuff, dealing with labels. It needs to be done independently, or leaked to the Internet.

It's amazing, amazing to hear that same Rhiannon harmony from 1974 that Lindsey was doing in front of me at the concerts in 2004. But it's almost garage-band without Mick and John's rhythm parts.

Maybe the bassist, Tom, sang. He's the guy who wrote the music to "Gold & Braid."

Thank you so much, Neil & Mike! The sound-quality on these is amazing... I'm blown away.
I don't want to sound greedy, but I'm hoping there are some other tracks from the same show!

I converted them to mp3 using the dBpowerAMP converter, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a free multi-purpose converter.

The MP4's are also mirrored at http://www.fleetfootmike.net/bn/

I have access to them as .WAV's, so I'll put up some cleaner MP3s (not reconverted from AAC/MP4) later on.

(For those asking about the source: as far as I'm aware, they were posted on Usenet about a month ago in one of the lossless formats: a friend who tracks the groups nabbed 'em for me.)

Okay, I woke up with a facial spasm, started the day with Lola. Then I had to leave for work. But I coudn't. Listened to the other tracks, and Oh what a wonderful loose rocking band. The spasm is a big grin again and now I'm at work. Too late, but what is a better story to your students than this one? They ate it: "Everytime you come in late for class with such a passionate fan-story and such a happy face, you are welcome."

So they started the day with a lifelesson.

Holy cow, this makes me happy.

I just discovered that on my page, the remark about "more songs of this album", which should have been right under the Camper van Beethoven songs, was under the Buckingham Nicks songs
I am SORRY if I raised any expectations... I've no idea if there are more live BN songs out there.

There's a VERY early version of Rhiannon, wouldn't want anyone to miss!

(they're in mp4 for as now, you need quicktime for that)

(and this info was all originally posted on the Legacy!)

Edit: I just converted them to mp3s, it probably won't take long before Neil puts those on his site. Meanwhile, you can also find them here:
