I think I missed that night.
All I know is I miss the good old days when she & Simon were at each other's throat. Now they're like Donny and Marie.

I agree about Jasmine being pretty. But I think diana's prettier. And she's got the vocals to go with that prettiness.

. Oh they still are. They just have like this schisifrenic relationship where they hate eachother then love eachother. I think the show wants to create a Lindsey-Stevie esque type chemistry. I'm sure those two aren't their examples but they're who I'm comparing them to.

Diana is nowhere near as likable as Kelly was, IMO.
And LaToya struck me as smug; Fantasia is cocky.
And to answer your "total package" question, go listen to WTWCT. Maybe you'll listen to that guy if you won't believe me.

I'm not going to slam anybody's looks, but IMO, Jasmine was the prettiest of all the finalists. To each his own.

I haven't watched lately, but I don't remember them hating each other sice the auditions this season.

I'm not saying that i'm looking for the total package in an American Idol but it's what that industry wants...she is the kind of person they look for...something they can SELL. Not everyone will like or does like Fantasia's voice even though it is original. Diana would sell way more albums to teenyboppers and you cannot deny that...that's what this is all about...who Simon Fuller can make the most money off of. Diana is what's out there today. Fantasia is a voice for a different kind of person...someone that appreciates her particular style. She's only going to reach a very broad audience and no, i'm not even talking about race here.

I completely disagree, but I'm no record mogul.

Either am I. Being a pop star doesn't mean being the best. It means being at least mediocre and being either incredibly hot or adorably cute. Jessica Simpson..she can carry a tune but she really is no great singer but she's beautiful. It's not about talent anymore.

I don't think Britney or Christina is "incredibly hot or adorably cute."

No, but a lot of men do. They're not selling music, they're selling an image.

Exactly. Not a total package.
And since Diana (fortunately) doesn't flaunt her sex about, I don't see what's to compare between her & the current state of the pop industry.

Britney...started off girl next door. Christina..started off girl next door. Jessica...started off girl next door. Sex sells and in the case of one Miss Jessica Simpson Lachey, being dumb and blonde does as well. They all began innocent and evolved into something less than wholesome.

I agree that Diana will probably win. She's cute as a button, there's nothing offensive about her, she has talent, and she has gotten better throughout the competition. Yes, she has the most potential to sell a lot of records. I personally would never by her album.
Now I will go out and by Fantasia's album, which I have never even considered for any other Idol contestant. Yes, she's cocky and not beautiful and says silly things, but I love her voice and feel her music. But I'm no teenybopper.

Mickey Mouse Club days don't count.

BTW, Pink sells herself as a product but also has talent to back it up, IMO. (I don't like the product part, for the record.)
