Default Beantown Mac Gig Heads To CD, DVD

Fleetwood Mac's Sept. 23, 2003, concert at Boston's FleetCenter is heading to CD and DVD. Due June 15 via Warner Bros., "Live in Boston" will also air as a PBS concert special two days after the releases hit stores. An as-yet-unnamed track will be serviced as a video around the release date.

The audio CD of "Live in Boston" sports 10 tracks, including such classics as "Dreams," "Rhiannon," "Go Your Own Way" and "Landslide." Rounding out the disc is the Stevie Nicks solo hit "Stand Back" and the cut "Come" from Fleetwood Mac's 2003 reunion album, "Say You Will."

Twenty-three tracks appear on the DVD, including all 10 of the songs featured on the audio disc plus favorites like "Gold Dust Woman," "Don't Stop," "Gypsy" and "The Chain." Fleetwood Mac has not issued a concert collection in the United States since 1980's "Fleetwood Mac Live," which reached No. 14 on The Billboard 200.

The group will return to the road May 8 in Madison, Wis. As previously reported, principal member Christine McVie -- who is not currently touring with Fleetwood Mac -- will release the solo album "In the Meantime" July 27 via Adventures In Music.

Thanks for posting this, Joe.

And before anyone mentions the apparent discrepancy in this line:

I believe he's referring to the fact that 'Fleetwood Mac Live' and 'Live In Boston' were both recorded during the middle of a tour (or various dates throughout a tour, in the case of the 1980 release), whereas 'The Dance' was recorded as a television special that then spawned a tour.
