I know - but he lost by less than one or two percentage points. That is scary. I mean I could see that in Texas or Georgia, but Penn is not that conservative of a state That being said Le Spector is a bit of a loon himself

I never knew there was a possible assination attempt - did you?

Puts tinfoil hat back on...Of course I did. There were also surface to air missles at the hotel Georgie was staying in.

Lots of people think we (D) could pick up that seat. Bush has visited Pennsylvania more than any other state in his term as president.

Hell, the USA has one of those right now! (Like the election in 2000 wasn't fixed? HA! Those who say it wasn't are fools)

Even Kucinich??? He's one of the most honorable politicians our country has ever seen. Same for Carol Moseley Braun.

Screw the elections in Iraq--I'm worried that there won't be any elections in the US--not with Shrub & co. in charge! And considering what happened last time, and with the whole mess with the paper trail-less new electronic voting machines (the majority of which just happen to be manufactured by a huge Bush supporter)--does it really make any difference who we vote for anyway?

Kucinich & Braun too...The only political "folk" I ever cared for are on each of the $5, $10, $20, $50 & $100 bills because as the saying goes "Money talks & bulls--t walks"

Did you read the article in this week's Time magazine on this issue? It really is kind of scary how easily these things are broken/hacked into.

Yep. I've read several articles from various sources lately about how easily these machines can be manipulated or hacked. My guess is that Bush will win the election no matter what because it's going to be rigged by Diebold.

Did you read the cover story on Terea Heinz in Newsweek this week?

Gawd, I love that woman. Let me count the ways.

That is probably one of the most ignorant and overbearing quotes one could make. Regardless where he comes from or where he lives.

There won't be peace there, ever. I have said it before, and I'll say it again - we need to get off the oil tit, and out of that region. It will be the ruin of the planet, that cesspool of religious backbiting and bickering.
