The country was under attacke before he ever went into the school. In the 50's weren't most schools bomb shelters? Oooh, where's my tinfoil hat? Oh fearless leader my ass. He failed us. Failed.

That is why I say let's talk about it a year from now because all we can do now is speculate. Interestingly, many people think the democracy will work. So, the "common sense" is not as common as you imply

Who? Republicans? Troops that are still being told that they went to war to liberate?

Yeah, Newt said so last year, but I considered the source and chalked it up as right-wing bull****.

well, this article, which strongly supports your view of this, provides independant verification of the assination attempt.

Arrogant? Yes. Egomaniacal? Absolutely. Destructive? Split decision. In retrospect, Nixon did as many good things as he did bad. Not to mention the man was extremely intelligent. The same cannot be said for W.

I think they're grasping at straws, personally. If it went down as they said in that article, it was a pretty half-assed attempt.

Of course. But I will predict right now that there will be no elections. It's a sham government.

Nope, there'll be Chalabi. A thief. Hey, it might resemble our form of government after all...

Oh wait, Bush lied about that. It was only 22 tons. Dammit, you can't win!
Don't forget we found it on a turkey farm! One of the best lines from that press conference.

On a lighter but related note - did you guys see that A Spector barely won the primary. The pundits are saying this could be bad for the R in Penn because Spector had to move to the right to counter his ultra right wing opponent- thus pissing off the centrist in that state. AND Penn is an apparent swing state.
