No way will it have anything to do with anything LB solo.
The doc won't be on there. If it is, I'll buy you your copy.

I think it's a possibility that Disc One will contain the full-length concert, while Disc Two will contain an abbreviated version of the show (the version PBS will most likely air), and hopefully some extras (interviews? videos? backstage footage?).

I'm basing that theory on Mick's comments that there are two versions of the concert (a long and a short), and on the fact that the tribute concert for George Harrison was also released in this manner:
Concert For George

Of course, I'm hoping my theory is completely off, because I'd rather not have two versions of the same show. Although a second DVD of interviews, a selection of videos, and other behind the scenes stuff, would be ultra cool.

My other theory is that it's one DVD... containing the full-length performance... and a 2-CD set of the full show.

Wouldn't that just be ridiculous, though? But, then again, Mick thinks everything will make him money.

I just wouldn't see the point of having one DVD of the whole show, then one DVD of an edited show. Who the hell would actually watch the edited show?

I felt the same way when I bought my mother the George Harrison tribute DVD for Christmas. Who would ever bother watching an edited version?!

The only thing worthwhile about the second DVD, is the fact that it contains interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.

Like I said though, it seems like a valid possibility, but I'm really hoping my theory is wrong.

Don't be so quick to say that- the band (especially Lindsey) was really into the documentary, and really proud of the result from what I've heard. None of them want it to fade away, and a DVD release is something that's been talked about.

Not to mention that with the success of the Warren Zevon Inside Out DVD, Warners has certainly thought that the documentary is perfectly viable as part of a package.

It might just be my wishful thinking in hoping for something quality out of the band instead of just hastily assembled crap thrown together like it's some big treat.

They're showing a 2-Disc set for the PBS special, and then the two-disc Boston plus CD thing. Someone reviewed the PBS one and mentioned Christine "stealing the show." What the heck?

I know what the CD is! Its Chris' "In The Mean Time"

More than likley it is a Edited version of the concert, Hey an actual soundboard recording of the SYW tour would be nice, even if it is edited!
The 2 DVD's are probably Destiny Rules and The Concert.

I hope you're right because if it is put in the package, we might get some extra footage like the Warren Zevon one. I just don't think the Mac is savvy enough to do it; if they release it, it'll be on a seperate release. It is the Mac and they're all about the money...

Im confused.

Amazon advertises the Boston show as 3 discs but then underneath where it says "people who bought this also bought..." it shows the PBS special as another 2 discs. Are 2 new dvds coming out?

I may have got the wrong end of the stick here.
