I've noticed there are good audio and video boots out there for almost every FM/Stevie tour stop in Largo, MD. Could it be one single person's work? A Ledgie, perhaps?
I understand you may not want to acknowledge your extended work in this field , but "way to go" and "thanks" if you're here! ![]() |

I think the venue actually had something to do with that. When i acquired some boot videos years ago, the guy i got them from said that the venue recorded them professionally. I really don't know for what purpose. Anyway, it's good that they did because now we got em! I still wish there was a 1977 show from there. The 1978 one is ok but i really would love an early Rumours show on video.

I bet there are shows on film from 1977 -- say, the Days On The Green weekend in May, which Fleetwood headlined, or other big newsworthy shows. At the rate things are going with blowing up the old vaults, maybe we'll even see it someday. We already know that the Japan tour in December 1977 was heavily filmed. Some fans filmed 1977 shows on their own, using handheld cameras. But we want PRO, damnit -- like the big Rock Superbowl in Orlando from May, or the shows in June at the Garden, or the big August 27 Tucson benefit (which raised $260,000 for the American Heart Association), or the Sept. 27 Philly show at the Spectrum, with Bob Welch guesting on the encore "Hypnotized," or the Nov. 11 Rockarena festival in Melbourne (Sydney?) with Santana & Little River Band. Bring it on, lawbreakers.

I thought this thread was going to be about certain attire one wears when they go to the live music club "Largo" in LA (where the likes of Benmont Tench, Beck, Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann hang out).
I expected some long detailed description about a particular boot - you know like " a suede boot, with a tapered ankle and a wonderful heel..." something very Stevie but alas - I'm wrong. |

"Largo" is my most favorite Song to Sing at The Chautauqua Music Institute in NY State!!! We go in summer to Sing with The Choir and hear Great Musicians and many Military Bands and "Largo" is sung at the end of each lovely day as a Signature Anthem! We've seen FMac's Largo,MD.shows too!Sky ![]()

Having seen dozens of rock shows at the Capitol Center during the 80s and 90s, I suspect that the reason for the quality boots is that the Capitol Center is one of the first arenas to employ large video screens for EVERY concert that rolls through town. Additionally, they have sky boxes for their corporate clientele that are catered and have their own video/audio feeds to private screens. Hence, it's not unconceivable that someone could intercept this feed with a VCR. Hence, the plethora of boots, not only for FM, but practically every band that rolls through town... |
