It wasn't a big hit here? I wouldn't really know since I was a baby when this was released as a single, but I hear is almost everytime I listen to our soft rock channel. I also hear "Love's got a hold on me" or whatever it is called every other time I turn to that channel. They must like Christine, and I can't blame them!

Well, it peaked at #43 on Billboard's singles chart... just missing the Top 40... so it's not exactly one of FM's biggest hits, unfortunately. But it's a terrific song, nonetheless, and deserves to be played often!

And you were "just a baby" in 1988?!?

I remember hearing Spare Me a Little from Bare Trees on WMMS in Cleveland. I asked my uncle who was singing, as woman in rock were a little more rare at the time. I think it was the first time I heard the words Christine McVie.

Thank God for uncles and big brothers that taught me good music! To think I thought the band was done after Bob Welch left!
