Somebody care to tell us all exactly what issues, topics, subjects, rules and the like call for spoilers? How the hell is everyone supposed to know what makes up a spoiler? That's individual for eveyone. Maybe I don't care to know all the details of fans who say they met band members, or maybe I don't want to see photos from the live shows, even though fans post them in threads all the time without always warning in advance what's in every post of a thread. Is this really necessary? Do we need to get huffy if somebody says something in a thread we don't want to know? Why not stop reading? Calling people idiots isn't inconsiderate? In my book it's worse than not putting ***spoiler*** in every thread that might contain something somebody doesn't want to know. JMHO.

Also, I didn't notice anyone threatening anyone else to leave the board. I think somebody called others inconsiderate idiots. Not nice.
I'm sure most fans do their best not to violate the spoiler ettiquette if they know what it is.

I was just light-heartedly drawing attention to the point that there is an entire thread entitled something along the lines of 'IMPORTANT: Please Read!!', and if this isn't enough to get the message across plainly and simplistically, what is?

I don't think anyone has been inconsiderate. Excuse me, but isnt that what these forums are all about?! "Spoilers"?! The whole idea here is for us to discuss things related to the band, and any new information that's out there. If that's not what you want to read, then you shouldn't be here at all. Grow up.

Hmmm. I thought I had made a reply yesterday about how no set list is going to be definite until probably the 3rd show (if FM follows the same pattern as the last leg of the tour), but it seems to be missing.

During the last leg, FM rehearsed a lot of stuff that didn't make the cut. So can we call any info about what they are rehearsing and MIGHT do in concert a spoiler. I would say that spoilers aren't possible until FM hits the stage in May and performs their shows. Until then it's more a case of well-informed-speculation about what songs will be performed. In my observation, speculation is a favorite activity on this board (for example, about Stevie & Lindsey's relationship as a theme of their music). I say nothing wrong with that.

The request was never about the content of discussions - it was about content of the thread title. That seems fair/easy enough to me. I'm an information-scrounger myself, on matters FM, but if some people aren't then I don't see any reason why, in certain instances, this place can't be used as a discussion board and/or a new information source.

People like Livia have been on here discussing FM in all sorts of ways through many years of virtually zero news or new stuff. I think of, from my experience too, the 'no news' Ledge as the status quo, and the constant stream of developments over the past year as an unusual high point. Lots of new faces to reflect that change of pace. Now, Livia, Deanna and others, get perhaps just one night to enjoy the real deal - a concert. After never having believed for one moment that I'd get to see the band this tour, I know what a big thing an actual 'concert' is compared to years of making polls on favourite album art or making FM spoofs of Big Brother. The Ledge is a great place because it can be used to enjoy the band in these various ways. I think their request is fair.

I guess I was trying to find a word to describe what appeared to me from reading the threads as Livia having no alternative but to leave because some people made it clear that they would not be respecting the 'Spoiler Policy'.
