I think I heard something about Billy Burnette having something to do with Christine's new album. I'm not sure if it's song writing, guitar or vocals. He did co-write 1 song on her last album 20 years ago.

I agree about Bob Welch. Anything that would be like Mystery To Me and Heroes Are Hold To Find would be fine with me.

I'm not sure how much time she even really spent with Bekka and Dave.
So maybe it was easy for her to just contribute songs to 'Time,' and not feel any pull to tour with the band.

But, given her bond with Stevie & Lindsey, maybe it causes the scenario to be a lot more difficult... because she IS emotionally invested in it.
So whereas in 1994/95 it might have been VERY easy for her to say "no thanks" to an offer to tour, this time around she may have feared that she'd allow herself to get talked into it, because of a love for her bandmates.
So it had to be all or nothing.
Actually, my money is on pressure from the record company. To begin with, there was never a tour for "Time." That band only toured prior to the album's release. Since "Time" bombed, the record company probably didn't want to invest money on a tour, which means there was no pressure on Christine to tour.

"The Dance," though, was a huge hit, making its debut at the top of the charts and having a lot of corporate support (Best Buy, MTV, etc). There was too much money and pressure to not tour. That's probably why she quit after "The Dance." Still, remember, it was Christine who put an end to the tour.

In terms of personal relationships, I've always gottent the impression that Christine was closer friends with Billy than either Stevie or Lindsey.

I doubt it. In an AOL chat that Johnny Stew already mentioned, she said she thought the addition of Dave Mason was an odd choice as she didn't see what he had to do with Fleetwood Mac. When asked who she would rather Mick have gotten, she said "Lindsey Buckingham," as he added something to the chemistry. In fact, she also said that she would love to work with Stevie and Lindsey again. I don't think there are hard feelings here. I just think Christine knows that if she were to record with the group, she would have been pressured to tour, which for her is out of the question.

Welch would be nice, but I highly doubt he is on the album.

I don't know what it is, but something inside me says that she just might have a major hit too. It must just be the effect of waiting for new Christine material for so long. I can't wait now!!!

Radio's always on here at work, these are the fm-songs I heard the last couple of days: Everywhere, Little Lies, Don't Stop and...As Long As You Follow (I heard the last one just a minute ago, that one was a surprise!
All CmV sung-songs.
Here in Europe, she's a very important, recognizable part of the Mac. Maybe more so than in the US? Stevie Nicks never had much of a solo-career here (apart from one hitsong, Rooms on Fire).
That's partly why I think she has a good chance of succes in Europe with the coming album

I adore "As Long As You Follow." One of my all-time fave Chris tunes... it should have been a bigger hit here in the States.

Anyway, I don't really have anything to add... I just wanted to gush over "ALAYF."
